Research On Feature Of Path And Influential Elements Of New Industrialization Model In China

The objects of the dissertation are the features of the new road to and the major and long-term influential elements on industrialization in China. Employing the historical and comparative methodology, it first lists the main elements that prescribes the road to industrialization in China, such as economic globalization, knowledge-based economy, market-oriented economy, large-country agriculture managed by peasant farmers as well as the evolution route of the ownership with the socialist public ownership as the mainstay. And further, it analyzes the principal aspects of these elements that influence the industrialization course in China by using the growth theory, the Arrow-Debreu theorem and demonstration analyses, aiming to find an answer to the prescriptive features of the new road to industrialization in China, and provide theoretic basis for working practices. The major innovative aspects of this dissertation can be summarized as follows:(1)The industrialization course in China can be divided in two stages in terms of its launching types. The first stage (1950—1980) was launched by the government, targeting at a powerful country; the second stage (1980 onwards) witnessed the transition from government launch to entrepreneurs launch under the leadership of the government, with the target of industrialization shifting gradually from a powerful country to a wealthy people. The dissertation demonstrates that it was just the transition of industrialization target that led to the transformation of the so-called system of reform and opening in China. This is the first successful in-house system transformation happened in China since 1840, thus manifesting the fact that the system vicissitude in China has entered into a new phase. Because of this, the dissertation introduces the element of ownership evolution route in the research, and holds that the industrialization in China started from early condition with state ownership as the mainstay and will proceed with both state and private ownerships. This evolution route determines that in the course of industrialization, state-owned enterprises should focus mainly on the creation of impartiality and system, while private enterprises on the creation of efficiency.(2)By introducing the element of market-oriented economy, the dissertation makes a deep research into the influence on the industrialization type brought by China's shift from planned economy to market economy. It concludes that it was the government that launched industrialization in China under the system of planned economy, while it is the entrepreneurs that will gradually take the lead in industrialization under the system of market economy. Case studies show that the rich resources of entrepreneurs will become a decisive driver of industrialization, and bring forward the conditions for establishing the entrepreneur resources and the incentives for giving full play to the entrepreneurs.
