Research Into The Modern Agricultural Service Mode In The Perspective Of Industrial Chain

The Chinese farmers cannot become well-off by the existing mode ofdecentralized management under the Family-based ContractedResponsibility System (FCRS). Why? The reason is that the conflicts,existing between the decentralized management under the householdcontract system and the specialized production, scale management ofmodern agriculture, and the market-based contact, make the low-sideposition of farmers in the agricultural chain. If the farmers want toincrease their income, they should solve the conflicts by modernagricultural service mode, so as to promote themselves into a higher sideof the agricultural chain, participating in the distribution of the profits ofagricultural chain and sharing profits of the agricultural value chain.Based on the researching aim above, the dissertation puts forward theissue of "Research into the Modern Agricultural Service Mode (MASM)in the Perspective of Industrial Chain".Above all, The dissertation researches into the supporting theory ofthe MASM in the perspective of industrial chain; then, it analyzes thecurrent agricultural service mode at home and abroad, from which someinstructive experience and reference for the construction of the MASM inthe perspective of industrial chain is obtained; based on the above, thedissertation puts forward the MASM and the corresponding operationalmechanism, which adapt to Chinese circumstances and can directlyadvance the farmers into high-side of the agricultural chain so as to makethem share the profits of agricultural value chain; after that, throughqualitative and quantitative analyses, the dissertation makes themechanism and performance analysis of the MASM in the perspective ofindustrial chain promoting the increase of farmers' income; in order tocarry out the modes more effectively, the dissertation makes suggestionson safeguard measures; and in the end, the dissertation comes to aconclusion and presents the further prospects.The dissertation applies such economic theories as service economics,agricultural economics, industrial economics and western economics tomake deep and systematic research, and tries to realize a unity of these economic theories, which, consequently, enriches the economic theory ofthe agricultural service and the analysis framework of the theory offarmers' income increase.The whole dissertation consists of eight parts, each of which beingpresented as follows:The first part introduces the background and foundations of the topicselection, analyzes the present situation of the research on this field athome and abroad, and on the basis of that, puts forward clues,frameworks and methods to study the issue of farmers' income increasewith the agricultural service theory and to study agricultural service withthe theory of industrial chain. This part is the introduction of the wholedissertation.The second part recollects the concepts of farmers' income increase,modern agriculture and agricultural socialization service, sums up thebasic theories on the MASM, and accordingly inquires into the theoreticalcategory of modern agricultural service. This part lays theoreticalfoundation for the construction of the MASM in the perspective ofindustrial chain.The third part, on the basis of comparative analyses on the MASM athome and abroad nowadays, educes that as for the MASM, China andforeign countries share similarities on the facts that the governmentsupport and guidance serve as the important condition, cooperativeeconomic organization serves as the developing direction, and scientificservice serves as the important content, but differ on the fields ofintegration service of agricultural chain, the construction of the servicesystem, and the service materialization. This part offers instructiveexperience and reference for the construction of the MASM in theperspective of industrial chain, the corresponding operational mechanismand the safeguard measures.The forth part is one of the academic cores of the dissertation. On thebasis of the basic theories of the MASM and the experience of andreference for current agricultural service mode at home and abroad, sixmodern agricultural service modes are constructed with the application ofthe theory of industrial chain, analyzing typical cases of the MASM. The fifth part is the second core of the dissertation. Six sorts ofoperating mechanism are put forward in order to promote an effectiveoperation of the MASM in the perspective of industrial chain. They areservice organization mechanism, profit-oriented mechanism, marketmechanism, division and cooperation mechanism, operation-boundingmechanism and risk-preventing mechanism.The sixth part is the third core of the dissertation. It analyzes theeffects produced by the MASM in the perspective of industrial chain,using qualitative method to analyze the mechanism of income increase,and using such quantitative methods as the co-integration analysis,Granger causality analysis, and linear regression analysis to examine theperformance of income increase.The seventh part is the fourth academic core of the dissertation. Inorder to promote an effective operation of the MASM in the perspectiveof the industrial chain, the government should offer perfect safeguardmeasures, including the fiscal and tax measure, financial measure,measure of the modern agricultural service team, legal measure andmacro-control measure etc.In the last part, the author summarizes the research contents,achievements and brings forward the prospects of the coming researchplan.
