The Study Of Agglomeration In Financial Service Industry

With the economic globalization and information technology promotion, international financial markets get rapid development, and the flow of international capital continuously accelerating, more and more financial institutions adopt a coordinated manner among enterprises to organize trade and production activities. The financial services industry clusters have become one of the basic form of modern financial industry organization from the initial concentration of few banks to the rise of financial holding companies, and nowadays many different types of financial institutions'spatial agglomeration and business outsourcing.Based on the combining method of theoretical analysis and empirical research, this paper take the international financial center-London, New York, Singapore's development and practicing experiences of the financial services industry as a reference, and summarized their course of the development and experiences as international financial centre. And from the two perspectives which are dynamic process and static result analyzed the theories of financial services industry agglomeration. At meanwhile adopt empirical methods of theoretical economic geography; estimate the center cities'financial agglomeration degree and radiation region in China's three major economic circles. Through the analysis of the financial services industry agglomeration, it examines the changes of financial radiation in center city toward the surrounding hinterland domain, to review characteristics of financial services industry gathering process.The full text is divided into seven chapters, as follows:Chapter 1, Introduction, included the general background, and theoretical and practical significance. And from three aspects of theory study which are financial development and financial centre and industrial agglomeration, to classify and review the literatures at home and abroad, then gave the commentary.Chapter 3, Comparative references analysis of International Financial Services Industry agglomeration. It mainly summarized the history and reason and process of the development in New York, London, Singapore three major international financial centre, and give the reference can be made and the reasons for the lessons.Chapter 4, Theories of the dynamic process of financial services industry gathering. From the perspective of dynamic process discussed macro-background of agglomeration, and the formation mechanism and process of agglomeration, and the patterns of formation. It also discussed the process of financial services industry gathering how to affect the regional economic.Chapter 5, Theories of the static results of financial services industry gathering.
