By using utility theory, marginal equilibrium principle and economic growth theory, this dissertation studies the exploitation and configuration of energy in the western development strategy and the impact on economy growth. A number of mathematical models are established, including the models for energy extraction, allocation and economy growth models in which energy restraint is introduced, and with the result of mathematical analysis, explanation and forecast of the long-term characteristics of economy growth and the rational choice of decision-makers have been made. Through this dissertation we expect to provide the western development strategy and the economy growth of China with some theoretical interpretation and bases.In this dissertation an energy exploitation model is built in which economy growth, energy sustainable utilization and environment protection have been taken into consideration. These three factors are unified in the utility function of policymakers, and the policymakers determine the pattern and the optimum amount of energy exploitation according to the maximum utility. Furthermore, the influence upon the decision-making of energy exploitation, which is affected by technological progress and the policymakers' attitude towards energy sustainable utilization, is under discussion. Under the condition of market economy and nation as the investment subject, in order to maximize the benefit from energy-consuming, this dissertation has constructed energy space configuration model, which is based on the equilibrium of marginal benefit theory; and constructed energy department configuration model, in which economic benefits and environmental benefit are both taken into account. Thus, the optimal energy configuration among regions and departments has been achieved.As the most basic material base of national economy, energy is the indispensable factor of production in the national economy production as well as the essential consumption in people's daily life. This dual character of the energy-consuming is analyzed in this dissertation; the economy growth model concerning the dual character of the energy-consuming has been built.In addition, under the condition of fixed energy quantity, we have discussed reasonable energy configuration in the fields of consumption and production, which helps to achieve the optimal energy utility in society.This paper has built the dynamic equation of energy utilization, and introduced the restraint of energy utilization equation into the economy growth models. The paper also has discussed how to realize sustainable economy growth and sustainable social development under the condition of sustainable utilization of energy, and has made a concrete analysis of the "learning by doing" economy growth model under the restraint of energy condition. We have obtained the condition under which the realization of long-term sustainable economy growth with sustainable utilization of energy guaranteed is possible.This dissertation has constructed an economy growth model with renewable energy. Through strict mathematical deduction, the explicit solutions of consumer Path in the economy system has been obtained under certain parameters conditions. We have studied the change of the consumption path of the economy system, and discussed the influence of the discount rate of utility, the renewable rate of energy and technology level on consumption path. Corresponding countermeasures are put forward to realize sustainable growth of economy.We have established an economy growth model with creative destruction in which a renewable nature resource is introduced. It mainly studies the optimum growth path of economy. The result shows that positive growth and negative growth are both possible along the long-run balanced growth paths. Moreover, when the optimum growth rate is positive, we analyze how the optimum growth rate is affected by the relevant variables of the model.In short, this dissertation consists of two parts. The first part is about the optimal choice of energy strategy in the western development strategy. And it mainly researches the exploitation and allocation of rich energy resources in the west, aiming at changing resources advantages into economic advantages and Serving better for the national economy construction. The second part is studies on the energy resources' role in economy growth and its impact on economy growth. And this part mainly studies how to realize sustainable economy growth and sustainable social development under the condition of sustainable utilization of energy. Furthermore, energy resources' impact on consuming path and the optimum balanced economy growth rate is researched.
