Economical Assessment And Study On The Development And Exploitation Of Daxin Gold Mine, In Xinshao County, Hunan Province, P.R. China

For the practical situations that more and more deposits that previously regarded as low grade and non-benefitial are explored and mined, combining the issue of economic assessment of deposit faced for the low grade gold deposit in Daxin, Xinshao County, Hunan Province, discovered by the engineering army of gold, a research subject,"Study on the Economic assessment for the Development and Utilization of Daxin Gold Deposit in Xinshao County, Hunan Province", was put forward. This project has practical importance for correctly assessment of the development and utilization of low grade gold deposits, to realize effective utilization of gold resources, and ensuring the sustainable development of the gold mining industry.On the basis of comprehensive summarizing of the research results in the economic assessment of gold resources, evaluation of mineral property, and analysis and optimization of cut-off grade of deposits, this dissertation made systemic studies on the theories and methods of mineral property evaluation, the methods and models of economic assessment for deposit development and utilization, and analysis and application of economical grade for a deposit, where theories in modern asset valuation, macro-economics, micro-economics, industrial economics, property economics, resources and environmental economics, mathematic and application statistics, and philosophy were introduced.At first, the theory system of the economic assessment of mineral resources was analysed and summarized. It is believed that the value of mineral resources absolutely depends on their application value. The fundamental aim of mineral resources assessment is to utilize the mineral resources in maximum on the basis of being technically feasible and economically reasonable. The value of a mineral deposit is subject to influences of many factors, but finally it would be determined by the profitability of the mineral resources to be developed.Secondly, the influential factors on gold price were analysed from different aspects such as world politics, world economy, financial and supply of mineral products, and brand new concept was put froward that the changes of gold prices are mainly caused by the psychological expectation to US dollars.And further more, via comparison and summarization of the differences and merits of the economic assessment of mineral property in China, own point of view on mineral deposit assessment was put forward, and new model of deposit assessment for development and utilization was built.Finally, integrating a case study of typical gold deposit, the feasibility for the development of Daxin Gold deposit was discussed applying the methods of economic assessment and mineral property evaluation, and the newly set up model of deposit development and utilization. The concept of economical grade was introduced in practical deposit economic assessment, and the economic value of Daxin Gold Deposit was correctly assessed. On the basis of analysis of availability of the deposit, prospecting prognosis in the deep surrounding areas of Daxin deposit was made, which, by means of assessment of the metallogenic potential of gold resources in the area, provided helpful suggestions for he development and utilization of Daxin Gold Deposit.Through above studies, this dissertation found out the link points to conduct a gold deposit assessment in using mineral property evaluation and deposit economic assessment, new model of deposit assessment for development and utilization was set up, and a series of highly operable model for protective mining was formed. In consideration of the situations in current world economic development and domestic gold mining industry, practical suggestions for sustainalbe development of the gold resources in China and protective mining of the gold minerals were made.
