Regional coordinated development has been studied for years. Due to the gap between China's regional economic developments continues to expand, and the developments of economics and population bring enormous pressure to resources and environment, and some problems in the study on regional coordinated development are not clear, the academic studies on regional coordinated development continually increase. In the view of complex science, the methods of the literature analysis, empirical research and computer simulation are used in this dissertation. Based on multi-agent modeling methods, and modeling and simulation of regional coordinated development system are made. The dissertation includes 4 parts. The first part is composed of chapter 1 and 2, which is the part of literature and basic theoretic research. The background, contents and innovation of this dissertation are introduced; the concepts, the mechanisms, the evaluations and countermeasures of regional coordinated development are reviewed, and the existing theoretical and practical results of regional coordinated research are systematically summed up; five representative definitions of regional coordinated development are compared, and it is found that the understandings of regional coordinated development consent to a certain degree, but there are also differences; On the basis of a review of the documents, regional coordinated development is defined; the characteristics and evolution mechanism of regional coordinated development are analyzed. The second part is composed of chapter 3, chapter 4 and chapter 5, which is the part of research and empirical studies. This dissertation analyses the spatial structure and functional structure of regional coordinated development system, and there are four functional subsystems in functional structure, including population, resources, environment and economics. The frequency of statistical indicators is counted by using CNKI database, and 40 key indicators of characteristics are selected; and statistical data of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei are put in functional subsystems coordinated development evaluation model of region, and using principal component analysis and data analysis softwares (1stOpt and SPSS), the empirical study is made; The basic systemic and time characteristics of the spatial structure are analyzed; based on the overview of regional space field research, the regional space field and related concepts are defined; and this dissertation tries to use the space field theories and ways to analyze the interaction of the functional subsystems in regional spatial structure. The third part is composed of chapter 6, which is the part of computer simulation. The complexity and adaptability of regional coordinated development are set forth; simulation ideas of regional coordinated development system are clarified; system simulation models of regional coordinated development are constructed and some phenomena are observed, such as the evolution of labor division, the emergence of cities and flow. The fourth part, the final Chapter 7 is the major research findings and prospects for further research.
