The manufacturing industry, a pillar industry of the national economy, is now being changllenged with globalization. The individual enterprise needs to rapidly response market requirement, while it is difficult for traditional rightly coupled cooperation between enterprises to do that. Virtual Enterprise (VE), which is composed with many transregional enterprises or even multinationals, provides a new model for the integration of resources, technologies and manpower.Grid technology , a rapid growing technology in recent years, provides a reliable and distributed computing solution, which helps improve the efficiency of the information technology(IT) system supporting the activities of the enterprises, overcome the obstacles arose by distances in geography and difference in structure to the cooperation among enterprises and maximize the resource sharing. The technology supports agile manufacturing and VE which is characterized by digitization, flexibility and agility.The thesis studies the construction of service-oriented manufacturing grid, a new model of VE under the support of the national High-tech Project "Manufacturing grid and manufacturing resource management research" and the National Natural Science Fund project "Automobile Collaborative Manufacturing Research and its Application". It first examines VE, particularly virtual manufacturing enterprises, then does further research on such aspects as the architecture of service-oriented VE, method of partner selection of VE and method of modeling of VE business process.The main work and contributions in the thesis are summarized as follows:1. A classification of VE organization structure is proposed. After examining the type and character of VE, it gives two models of organization structure in VE: single-core VE and multi-core VE, which can be used to regulate the business activities in VE. Single-core VE is composed with a core company and non-core companies. Single-core VE is relatively more stable as non-core enterprises are dependent upon the core enterprise, which fits to chain production mode. The member enterprises in multi-core VE have equal status, competing and cooperating with each other, which is flexible and fits to the demand of dynamic and changeable market.2. The architecture of service-oriented VE is constructed, which is abided by OGSA specification. The thesis focuses on such modules as the project management in application supporting level, the partner selection management and the business process management, which lay the foundation for the business implementation in accordance with by projects in VE.3. A method of partner selection based on Naive Bayesian is devised. A method of partner selection is proposed by using text classification. Semantic attribute are used to train the classifier. The way of getting the semantic attributes and the method of classifier training and classifying are given. The method makes full use of the efficiency and simplicity of Naive Bayesian classifier.4. A way of service-oriented modeling of VE business process is put forward. After the discussion of the construction flow of service-oriented business process in VE, a way of service-oriented modeling of VE business process is proposed. First, the abstract model of business process is constructed, which is composed by the business services from the candidate partner enterprises through partner selection. Secondly, the flow model based on BPEL4WS is built. Thirdly, the properties-based service discovery and selection based on the model, are carried out. Finally, the instance of business process is generated.5. System implementation and application. The architecture of service-oriented VE has been constructed. The single-core VE has been applied in the business of automobile production-oriented and realized the collaborative production in VE with the application of agile supply chain.More work needs to be done in the followiing fields: project control and management, cooperation in VE construction and partner selection based on semantic.
