The process of China's regional development has achieved evident effects, firstly developed and opened regions have been the points which lead national economic development. Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Pudong New Area and Tianjin's Binhai New Area (TBNA) have become the three economic growth poles which promote China's economies, and these areas have shown rapid growth trend from the day they became opening zones with an economic boom. The Economic and Technological Development Zones (ETDZs) has taken on bigger investment gravity in attracting capitals, talents and enterprises like a magnetic field. This presents a way to study the regional attracting capacity from gravity. So, this dissertation does a series of studies about regional investment attractiveness and constructing gravity model. After reviewing the use of gravity model in economic fields, this study further takes over the gravitational model from physics to regional investment fields. With the analysis of ETDZs's industrial characteristics, this paper addresses the factors which influence and constrain investment attractiveness. Then the dissertation analyzes why the opening areas have gravity from the effect of growth pole, pillar industries and locations, makes the hypothesis of regional investment gravity model, after mathematical derivation and modeling analysis, how to do the statistical problems and adjusting coefficient based on the competition-cooperation relationship of regional micro-bodies is discussed. Because of the defects of the mathematical gravity model, after the analysis of investment gravity boundaries, the study transforms from pursuing bigger gravity to better gravity. With adding the gate index, the sketh of the investment attractiveness model is given, and the attracting investment system is introduced, the gravity effect is made based on PFCE. The dissertation takes TBNA as an example to do a demonstration study, and at last concludes the insufficiencies and improving directions.
