With rapid development of science and technology and continuous rising of people's needs, product specifications and types become richer and richer. Product life cycles become shorter and shorter, which makes short life-cycle a common property of today's products. In addition, competition between modern enterprises has transferred to the competition in the whole supply chain from that between individual enterprises. For short life-cycle product supply chain, the logistics, information flow and capital flow are also needed to be controlled and coordinated so as to reduce the cost of various links and improve overall service level of the supply chain. In this way, the management level as well as operational efficiency of the supply chain system can be improved and ultimately the overall dynamic optimal goal can be achieved.At the same time, due to the application of the theory of constraints (TOC) in academia and practice, especially because of its characteristic of emphasis on system integrity, the theory draws more and more attention in the supply chain coordination research and practical application. Therefore, based on TOC, this paper makes a systematic study of coordination methods of short life-cycle product supply chain under different environments. The main research work are as follows:First, we've studied how to make corresponding dynamic settings and adjustments to maximize the throughput of the whole system in a short life-cycle product supply chain characterized by frequent fluctuations in demand. Put forward the stochastic inventory control and adjustment strategy with TOC dynamic buffer management characteristics and after this further put forward two dynamic buffer inventory control and adjustment strategies, one based on gap compensation and another on demand forecasts. Meanwhile, after the establishment of corresponding system architecture, (S, s, T),a similar adaptive inventory control strategy based on demand forecasts was introduced. And through the simulation of these four different but similar inventory control strategies, the calculated results were comparatively analyzed.Second, we've studied how to coordinate production and marketing by using methods under the condition of stable seasonal demand based on TOC in order to increase the overall competitive advantage of short life-cycle product supply chain consisting of manufacturers and distributors. As for the specific research methods, first through the establishment of TOC-based supply chain system, taking the'Make to availability' as the prerequisite for the production preparation in advance approach and taking the production capacity of manufacturers and production quantity of distributors in advance as the specific decision-making variables, through modeling and analysis of simulation examples, relevant conclusions about supply chain coordination methods were drawed with different basic conditions.Third, we've setup a short life-cycle product supply chain composed of a manufacturer with a number of factories and many distributors, and based on it we've studied how to use the TOC-based approach to make corresponding coordination of production and marketing in order to ensure the biggest throughput of the supply chain as a whole. Since the model is actually an NP-complete problem in the paper, genetic algorithm was choosed to solve the model, some improvements to the genetic algorithm were made correspondingly. Through the examples, both the algorithm efficiency and the relevant theory were verified.In the end, due to the importance of sharing information accuracy for the short life-cycle product supply chain, we combined the "buffer management" idea in TOC with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and put forward "information buffer management" mechanism. Combined with the data obtained from investigation of enterprise,using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and through specific examples,the feasibility and operability of proposed mechanism were verified.
