In recent years, the research of industrial circular economics remains hot in the realm of industrial economics and sustainable development. Such researches at home and abroad have undergone an evolution from theory to practice, then back to theory again. In the present academic community, mainstream views on industrial circular economics have primarily come into being, i.e. cleaner production, eco-industrial park as a means to promote the industrial circular economy. Moreover, as researched deepen, the impacts of technological innovation and environmental economic policy as a vital constituent are attracting increasingly strong attention in the industrial circular economy. This dissertation eyes on circular economy of manufacturing in Zhejiang province, which has a very typical significance, and will further enrich the industrial economics.Zhejiang is a strong province on manufacturing, which has achieved the economies of scale expansion by extensive growth mode, but also brought a huge consumption of resources, as well as the rapid deterioration of environment. The growing contradiction on economic growth and environment protection is demanding for the change of growth mode and following the path of circular economy. This dissertation carried out path design from general ideas and specific measures through analyzing the mechanism of circular economy, and recommended practical measures and policy. This research will contribute to the development of circular economy, eases the contradictions of resources and reduces environmental pollution, and ultimately being sustainable development.The research has experienced three major stages including literature review, modeling and empirical analysis. In the stage of literature review, theories on manufacturing, circular economy and other related fields prevailing at home and abroad and progress in empirical research in these fields are summarized systematically so as to lay a theoretic foundation for the proceeding and to learn experience. In the stage of modeling, based on thorough kick off screening, analysis and refinement, this dissertation set up the models on economic growth and circular economy, circular economy impact factors, technological innovation impact, principal-agent and input-output. In the stage of empirical analysis, this dissertation first worked out the cross-section and time series data through a variety of statistical yearbooks. Based on that, mechanism on circular economy of manufacturing has been determined through the discussion on empirical analysis results by the methods of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, principal component analysis, econometric models and input-output analysis.By thorough and in-depth theoretical and empirical analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:1) Over the past two decades, the circular economy development level has been increasing, from the bad level of late eighties, improved the early nineties, but still in poor level, the late nineties and early twenty-first century in general, to 2007, getting into the threshold of better.2) Instability and extensive were the two main features of Zhejiang manufacturing growth mode, and technological progress was less stimulating. If the present extensive growth mode continues, then the natural resources and ecological environment shall not maintain the sustainable development. Circular economy is the only road to achieve sustainable development.3) There is a two-way, mutually interactive relationship between economic growth of manufacturing and circular economy. In short term, economic growth did not show the positive effect on circular economy, or may lead to a lower level. But in the long run, with the increased level of economic development, more funds will be put into the field of circular economy. Economic development will have a positive role in promoting circular economy.4) There is a strong path dependence and a gradual process of development, that is, current circular economic development relied on pre-term. Technological innovation, industrial upgrading and environmental policies have significant positive role in promoting, in which the greatest role was technological innovation, while the current economic development has yet to show an active role.5) R & D funds, researcher investment, FDI and industrial profit margins have a positive impact on promoting technological innovation, in which the greatest role was researcher investment, then industrial profit margins and FDI.6) Based on the principal-agency model and incentive function of linear payment contract, comprehensive consideration on economic and ecological benefits, optimal payment contract of government and optimal effort level of enterprises have been deduced on the condition of symmetric and asymmetric information.7) Industry of instrumentation and machinery, communications equipment and computers being well performed in circular economy. Industry of non-metallic mineral products, chemical, paper printing and stationery manufacturing, textiles, petroleum and nuclear fuel processing being poor performed.The theoretic value and innovations of this dissertation:1) Measurement indicators system for circular economy has been established from industrial level specific for manufacturing. Level of Zhejiang manufacturing circular economy has been measured by the methods of subjective and objective weighing and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.2) From the quantitative analysis point of view, relationship between economic growth and circular economy has been econometric analyzed, which solved the problem that what is necessary to develop industrial economy or to protect the ecological environment, complementing the theory of industrial circular economy.3) Specific for manufacturing, circular economy incentive mechanism model has been set up, optimal payment contract of government and optimal effort level of enterprises have been deduced by comprehensive considering ecological and economic benefit of circular economy based on principal-agent model.4) Regional circular economy input-output table was made through the improvement of traditional table by adding department of resources recovery and waste controlling. Methods of price estimation for resoureces and waste are improved. Circular economy of manufacturing has been analyzed from the level of industrial structure level.This dissertation is composed of eight parts. Chapter One, introduction, explains the research background, technical line. Chapter Two, theoretical basis and literature review, summarizes the operation mode and experience at home and abroad. Chapter three, measures on Zhejiang manufacturing circular economy, analyzes the relationship between comprehensive indicator and sub-indicators. Chapter Four, relationship analysis on economic growth and circular economy, analyzes the status of manufacturing, proves that circular economy is the only road to achieve sustainable development. Chapter Five, mechanism study on Zhejiang manufacturing circular economy. Chapter Six, input-output analysis on Zhejiang manufacturing circular economy based on regional circular economy input-output table. Chapter Seven, path study, includes path design, support measures, policy suggestion and case study. Chapter Eight, research conclusion and prospect.
