After the development over 30years, the second faulted block in Pubei oilfield entered the stage of high water cut with water percentage up to 90.7%. Factors resulted in complication of remaining oil distribution. With well drilling-seismic data combination, tectonic interpretation, reservoir prediction and fine reservoir characterization become extremely urgent. This research shows: For the location of small faults, structures with micro amplitude, thin reservoir within wells and remaining oil, well drilling-seismic data combination will give important guidance to the exploration breakthrough in this area.Fine synthesis records were made to calibrate every small layer. With seismic profiles, small layer differentiation processed by using small layer level comparison.Distribution of small faults and structures with micro amplitude was recognized. 39 small faults were located by ant volume technology. With structural trend surface technology, 146 structures with micro amplitude were recognized. 3D structures of the whole research area were predicted precisely by 3D visualization technology, and new structure drawing was contrasted with the old one. After many tests of forward modeling and inversion, a sort of sand-body prediction technology with seismic data, was established in this area. Sand-body location in every sedimentation unit was studied and reservoir parameters were predicted, with well drilling-seismic data combination inversion. By using static records and dynamic data in production, sedimentary faces were description with the results of structures and reservoirs studied by well drilling-seismic data combination.By using the results of fine structures and reservoir inversion, structure modeling precision was improved and the way of reservoir modeling was chosen with well drilling-seismic data combination modeling. Then fine 3D geological model was obtained. Initial geologic reserve was 1563.44×104 tons with the results of geologic modeling. By using the results of numerical simulation and the data analysis of water flood, the conclusion is that remaining oil is mostly focused in PuⅠ6-9 sandstone group Main channel and main sand sheet is still the cluster of remaining oil, and remaining oil saturation increases at the top of fining-upwards sequence where physical property is getting worse.
