Corticioid fungi are the major part of wood-rotting fungi, belonging to Basidiomycoat, Agaricomycetes, morphological characters refers to the group of wood-rotting fungi with smooth, tuberculate or odontioid hymenophore. In the present study, comprehensive studies on the genera of Hypochnicium J.Erikss. were carried out. The materials were totally collected from the different forest ecosystems in China and now deposited in several major herbaria of China. The morden taxonomic methods were made in the studies. The illustrated descriptions in detail of total species from China were given, and studied speciemens, distributions in China of each species, and the host were recorded. The taxonomic characters of these species were discussed. Total 10 Hypochnicium species were occurred in China. Among them, two species, Hypochnicium austrosinensis W.M. Qin & L.W. Zhou and Hypochnicium longibasidium (Unpublished), were described as new; Hypochnicium bombycinum (Sommerf.) J. Erikss., H. patagonicum Gorjon & Hallenb. and H. pini Y. Jang & J. J. Kim, were new to Chinese fungal flora; At present, worldwide total 33 species were accepted in Hypochnicium. Twelve species of T Hypochnicium were recorded in China. Among them, an identification key to the 10 species was provided.Molecular methods were used to sequenced the ITS fragment of Chian speciemens, Maximum likelihood (ML) and maximum parsimony (MP) conducts were performed using the combination of the above mentioned sequences and other Hypochnicium sequences downloaded from GenBank. The results showed that, the ITS sequence and the kind of spores wall have significant correlation, group 1 contains taxa with ornamented spores, and group 2 with smooth spores, group 3 includes taxa with presence of chlamydospores. In addition, in this thesis added the illustrated descriptions of 8 species of Stereum Hill ex Pers. and 6 species of Botryobasidium Donk from China, and give the remarks of studied speciemens, distributions in China, and the host of each species. An identification key to the species of each genera was provided.
