The western part of Langshan, located in the western part of northern margin of the north China craton, has the favorable tectonic setting. Over all, the degree of research of this area is low and unbalanced. There is not research on the metallogenic geological environment and prospect of this area.This dissertation takes Aguimiao area as an example and uses the synthesis datas of geology, geochemistry and high-precision magnetic survey to study the ore-forming geological environment and prospect of the western part of Langshan.Based on the study of tectonic setting, mineralization state of rock formations,metallogenic geological tectonic conditions , geochemical characteristics and high-precision magnetic anomalies characteristics, some conclusions are drawn as follows:①the Archean Wulashan group with magnetite and Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan group are the main strata of this area;②the main magmatic rocks of this area are the Hercynian intermediate-felsic rocks;③this area, located in the western part of Langshan metallogenic belt ,has the similar geological setting and tectonic environment with Dongshengmiao and Tanyaokou ore districts;④the geochemical anomalies with N-E direction have the same direction with rock formation and tectonic lines ,concentrated distribute in Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan group and Archean Wulashan group, especially in Agulugou formation of Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan group;⑤high-precision magnetic anomalies with N-E direction have the same direction with rock formation and tectonic lines ,concentrated distribute in Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan group;⑥the partial magnetic anomaly area of some elements has the same boundaries with the rock formation which hosted the magnetic anomalies;⑦the feature of distribution of geochemical anomalies is similar with that of high-precision magnetic anomalies.Based on the nested relation between the rock formations and the geochemical characteristics and high-precision magnetic anomalies characteristics and the kinds and distribution feature of ore spots of Aguimiao area, combined with the regional metallogenic geological tectonic setting and other metallogenic geological conditions, four prospects are divided in this area.
