Influence mechanism of bursting liability of coal on coal bump has beenresearched in this dissertation. The mineral composition and surface microstructurefeatures of coal with different bursting liability has been studied by XRD and SEMexperiments. The crack evolution characteristic of different bursting liability of coal hasbeen explored by Industrial CT. It has used digital speckle technology to analyze theevolution of non-uniform deformation field after peak of coal with different burstingliability. The parameters of statistical damage constitutive model of coal were studied,the impact of which on bursting liability was investigated. Stress field, energy field anddamage zone distribution characteristics along the workface affected by burstingliability of coal also have been discussed with strength theory and energy theory. It hasconfirmed the impact instability danger areas by analyzing the variation of the stressfield, the energy field and the damage zone in coal mining process. It has also illustratedthe effect of bursting liability of coal on impact dangerous in numerical analysis methodin kinds of situations respectively, such as different roof lithological stope, differentlevels of stress field, island workface and fault workface. This dissertation has scientificand engineering guidance meaning in ensuring the safe mining of the workface usingbursting liability.
