Design and synthesis of porous materials with novel structures and unique properties have been one of the hotest research fields in the chemistry world. Recently, the newly emerged metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and porous organic frameworks (POFs) have attracted a great deal of attention, because of their designable structures, contronable functions and potential applications in adsorption, optical, electric, magnetic, catalytic and biological activity. In this thesis, focused on the research of MOFs and POFs,26MOFs and a new series of POFs materials have been constructed from a variety of strategies and structurally characterized. Furthermore, we explored the gas sorption and luminescence properties of these materials, and obtained some valuable conclusions. The main contents are as follows:1. Nineteen new MOFs have been synsthesized based on the reactions of tris(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tpt) and a series of functionalized "o-phthalic acid-like" coligands with NiⅡand CdⅡ ions. The assemble disciplines were discussed through structural analyses. Furthermore, the effect of different functional groups on the frameworks stability, gas adsorption and separation performance were studied. Also, their application in the fabrication of mixed matrixed memberanes for gas separation application was investigated.2. The reaction of tpt and a series of functionalized "p-phthalic acid-like" coligands with Cd" ions have given seven new MOFs. Exploring the special restricted space effect of the frameworks structures, a series of organic guest molecules were encapsulated into the frameworks by "one pot" strategy. Furthermore, luminescent properties of the obtained "host-guest" complexes were studied.3. A new series of porous organic frameworks, namely the microporous tetrazine-based organic framework (TzFs), have been successfully constructed from tetrahedral4,4’,4",4’"-tetracyanotetraphenylmethane (TCPM) and triangular1,3,5-tri(4-cyanophenyl)benzene (TCPP) monomers. The effect of reaction conditions on the formation of the framework, and properties towards gas adsorption and catalysis of the TzFs were studied.
