Classical Chinese Garden is one of the world’s three garden systems. Suzhou gardens art is the essence of classical Chinese garden art and representation. Today, it is a common thing that people try to explain the ancient Chinese classical garden art style by the means of the reality of the landscape garden in Suzhou. However, today’s Suzhou garden scenes are mostly constituted of the ancient name, poetry, couplets, calligraphy, painting, and after the late Qing Dynasty landscaping, construction, furnishings and flowers, coupled with decades of contemporary renovation and repair. Therefore, these explanations are based on the most of speculation.Suzhou garden has more than two thousand years of art history. Only the Ming Dynasty gardens of Suzhou has undergone nearly three hundred years of style evolution, and the style evolution of art is a historical process. These are all in the Ming dynasty that Suzhou garden city characteristic was formed and the leading national status of classical gardens was settled. Therefore, the study of the Ming Dynasty Suzhou garden art, is also the important node of the study on the ancient Chinese garden art history.The article adheres to the principles of historical materialism and set restoring the art historical truth as the main target. This paper try to reveal the truth of Ming Dynasty in Suzhou garden art ontology by the way of widely collecting, analyzing and summarizing the historical literature, and combined with Suzhou garden extant remains of fieldwork and analysis. Through the research it can be found that Suzhou garden art in the Ming Dynasty experienced such a process of from prosperity to the silence and gradually renaissance and the height of the following stages. The aesthetic feature was passed by the gorgeous to pristine nature and return to luxury .
