The roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam is one of the representative dam typesin the future. In recent years, its project scale, damming technologies and constructionequipments have developed rapidly. A series of engineering scientific problems arecertainly brought, such as the high-intensity continuous construction. The scheduleanalysis and control is a great challenge to project managers in the design andconstruction stage. According to the schedule of high RCC dam, the simulation ofwhole construction process, the schedule risk analysis and the real-time dynamic arestudied in detail. The major innovative achievements are listed as follows.(1) Oriented to design stage, the whole construction process of high RCCdam is analyzed systematically. The mathematical model of simulation withlogical relationship is established. The modeling and simulation based onconstruction techonlogies is presented.In the traditional construction simulation of RCC dam, it has payed greatattention to entities’ state change and parts’ procedure connection, the simulation ofconcrete transport subsystem is emphasized, the construction constraint of qualitycontrol requirements are not entirely reflected in the models, the interference andrestriction of all subsystems are not comprehensively considered. Basing on thedetailed analysis of construction simulation system, the stochastic dynamicmathematical model of high RCC dam’ whole construction process is established. Themodels for dynamic combination of working units, concrete transportation, operationof working unit and multiple systems coupling are realized. The theoretical method ofconstruction simulation modeling orienting to design stage is improved.(2) In view of randomness and uncertainty for project progress, asimulation-based model─the correlated schedule risk analysis model(CSRAM)─is introduced. Combining with characteristics of constructionschedule for high RCC dam, the improvement of this model is presented.In the field of schedule risk analysis, the common methods and models neglectthe correlation effect between risk factors and between activities. To this question, aschedule risk analysis model─CSRAM─basing on Monte Carlo simulation isintroduced. Combining with characteristics of construction schedule for high RCCdam, the improved CSRAM is presented, which not ignore implication dates andlocations of activities. The evaluation of construction activity networks under uncertainty is realized, and the software system for construction schedule risk analysisis developed.(3) Oriented to construction stage, basing on real-time monitoring, theadaptive simualtion of high RCC dam construction is presented. The relatedtheories and metheds of modeling are analyzed. The real-time dynamicsimulation during construction is realized.The traditional construction simulation is applied to the design stage. Usingtraditional models, it is difficult to achieve real-time simulation and schedule controlduring the construction period. Then the adaptive simualtion based on real-timemonitoring of high RCC dam construction is presented. Using real-time monitoringsystem, the acquirement of actual construction data is realized. The real-timeprocessing mechanism of actual data is analyzed. Finally the dynamic adjustment ofsimulation boundary and real-time updating of simulation model are realized. So thedynamic change of construction environment can be timely reflected in simulationsystem, and the accuracy of models can be improved effectively.
