Present,there is no uniform standard in Laos asphalt mixture design, but it found thatLaos pavement disease of water damage and rut is mainly caused by excessive rainfall andhigh temperature.the paper consider the hot and humid climate characteristic of Laos, studyon asphalt mixture performance evaluation method, it bring certain reference value for thedesign of asphalt mixture and has the vital significance to the Laos highway construction.Firstly this paper analyzed probability distribution of the Lao hot and damp coefficient,mapped the climate zoning maps of asphalt pavement based on hot and damp coefficient.Through analyzed the annual rainfall of Laos,found that in more than2000mm annualrainfall, asphalt pavement will be caused serious damage by dynamic water pressure formeddue to vehicle load and water. Amid at the shortage of the function of roadbed dynamic waterflushing failure mechanism and evaluation methods, developed a relatively simple dynamicwater washout test to evaluate the water stability of asphalt mixture, using CT scanningtechnique and infrared spectrum to test specimens, analyzed the change rule of internal voidsand asphalt mixture material on dynamic water washed before and after, it proved thatdynamic water flushing apparatus is the feasibility apparatus to evaluate the water stability ofasphalt mixture. And according to the dynamic water flushing test, recommending suitableevaluation methods of the Laos to evaluate the water stability of asphalt pavement. Then itAnalysis the main internal factors affecting the stability of water, and through the dynamicwater erosion test, freeze-thaw splitting test and static modulus test, it is concluded that bestvolume parameter of different asphalt mixture during the better water stability, recommendthe conventional suitable evaluation method of Laos for water stability, asphalt mixture designmethod based on Lao water stability and high-temperature stability are put forward throughreferencing the guiding ideology of SUPERPAVE.Finally the paper through the analysis the reasons of permanent deformation of asphaltpavement in different stages, puts forward a new evaluation index and method of hightemperature; In view of the evaluation system of asphalt mixture at high temperature, and putsforward high temperature performance index-shear strength criteria that associated with thetemperature, the condition of traffic, road surface structure mechanics, structure.
