The advanced vehicle monitoring equipment and modern maintenance and repair strategy were be used to protect the safety of its operation since the high-speed train has been opened. The high-speed train is one of the services to the people. We are looking forward to the ride quality while in the pursuit of safe operation at the same time. The comfort of high-speed train as a new topic is gradually regarded. We are not only concerned about the safety of travel, but also start to pay attention to travel comfort, especially the ride comfort of passenger in high-speed train.The evaluation methods of synthesis comfort for high-speed train will not only provide guidance for high-speed train system design, but also will be one of the top-level design specifications for high-speed train.There are three main aspects of problem research in this paper about the synthesis comfort of the high-speed train. Firstly, the six factors that affect the ride comfort of high-speed train have been separated studied. The evaluation methods and evaluation criteria for each single factor has been presented. Secondly, the six factors of synthesis comfort have been comprehensived studied. The comprehensive evaluation criteria and methods for synthesis comfort have been submitted. Thirdly, the preliminary design for synthesis comfort simulation test system has been finished, which provided a subsequent test foundation. In this paper, the conclusion is as follows.(1)The kinds of factors that affect the ride comfort of high-speed train and its development process have been analyzed in this peper. The comfort factors were divided into three types. The three types of comfort and synthesis comfort of high-speed train have been defined. Specifying the synthesis comfort in this article is the combination of six factors that including vibration, noise, pressure, temperature, humidity, illumination. These definitions and classification is an innovation type definitions and classification for the ride comfort of high-speed train.(2) For the vibration factors that affect the ride comfort of high-speed trains, the real test data of high-speed trains has been used to analysize and process. The frequency characteristics and time-domain characteristics of vibration of high-speed train has been ayalysized in open conditions, tunnel conditions and half open half tennel conditions. The impact for vibration comfort of high-speed train in different conditions and different speed grades have been analysized to improve the evaluation method on the UIC513. With the features of large amounts of data and empirical formula, the empirical formula of vibration comfort has beeit has been proved that the formula is suitable for the evaluation of the comprehensive vibration of high speed trainst according to the test data.(3) For the noise factors that affect the ride comfort of high-speed train, the real test data of high-speed trains has been analysized and processed. The pressure level and job level of noise sound of high-speed train have been ayalysized in open conditions, tunnel conditions and half open half tennel conditions. The impact for noise comfort of high-speed train in different conditions and different speed grades has been analysized to propose the five grades evaluation methods of noise for high-speed train. The evaluation formula of synthesis comfort of noise has been proposed, andit has been proved that the formula is suitable for the evaluation of the synthesis noise of high speed trains accoding to the data.(4) For the pressure, temperature, humidity, illumination factors, the impact for the comfort has been ayalysized in different conditions and in different speed grades. According to the comparative analysis of large amounts of data, it shows as follows. In open conditions, the speed impact of air pressure is smaller than that in the tunnel conditions. The temperature and illumination has nothing to do with the speed and operating conditions of high-speed trains. The illumination has nothing to do with the speed of high-speed train and is proportional to the outdoor illumination. The illumination maintained a relatively fixed value in the tunnel conditions. In this paper five grade evaluation methods of the pressure, temperature, humidity, illumination factors, have been proposed, which is the foundation for the evaluation of the six factors of synthesis comfort.(5) The questionnaire design of synthesis comfort of the high-speed trains have been studied in this paper. By the research on the actual running line, the weights of six factors have been obtained using statistical method. In the same time the relationship between vibration and noise of High-speed trains has been studied. The vibration and noise were divided into a unified dimension to compare. According to the previous analysis of various factors, the weight tables of each factor of synthesis comfort have been established. It is the first time that the weight of six factors of synthesis comfort has been identified. The assessment formula and calculation methods of synthesis comfort of high-speed train have been proposed. And then, the practical test data was been conducted in this paper as a proof for the formula and the method. The subjective and objective affect of various factors have been considered. In this method, it is based on the test data in calculation to prove that the method is operable..In the total evaluation, the five grades system was used in the final evaluation value. And the synthesis comfort level of high-speed train was visually performanced. (6)For the synthesis comfort simulation test system of high-speed train, the system’s overall design concept and overall design parameters have been completed. For the analog subsystem of vibration, simulation subsystem of pressure and temperature and humidity, analog subsystem of noise, subsystem of illumination simulation, motion simulation of sub-scenes, the preliminary design have been finished. This system is the first large-scale test rig at home and abroad. It will be used as an important tool for research of synthesis comfort system.
