With the rapid development of economy and the ever-increasing population, the city construction scope of Beijing has continuously expanded at an alarming speed in the past years, and the boundary line gradually move close to the surrounding mountains, which are the main ecological conservation of Beijing all the time. Beijing is embraced on three sides by mountains in the east, north and west, which is accounted for about two-thirds of the total area. As the boundary of plain and mountain, shallow mountain area contains multiple classes of green spaces, in which have regions with high ecological sensitivity like forestry parks, natural conservation areas and water source protected areas. In the meantime, shallow mountain area is facing intense need of exploitation and construction, and bearing the weight of more and more human activities. Before attention and study to shallow mountain area, there were already a number of green spaces destroyed under the urban sprawl. How to realize shallow mountain area optimization and scientific development in the context of practical ecological environment protection is an urgent problem at the present stage. This dissertation with an eye to the green space which is an important component of shallow mountain area, and through the theory carding and concept definition of relevance theories and practices about shallow mountain area, green space and green space in shallow mountain area, study the definition, status quo, scope, classify, function and research status at home and abroad, and summarize clear theory venation. On this basis, the dissertation discusses the necessity of ideal pattern construction integrating the problems and challenges of Beijing shallow mountain area green space, and proposes the ideal pattern system composition combined "macro control-meso network-micro design". Macro control contains long-term planning, policy and decree; meso network contains natural service optimized network and humanistic service optimized network; micro design contains site design and community sharing. Then summarize the integrated thought and basic procedure of ideal pattern construction, and put forward the construction strategy of green space ideal pattern in Beijing shallow mountain area from macro, meso and micro scale with case analyze of Holland Randstad green heart, American Wasatch front and Beijing Baiwang Mountain forestry park. Macro control strategies include build laws and regulations system of shallow mountain area green space ideal pattern construction and implementation; clear and definite compensation and development mechanism in ideal pattern range; establish inter-district management mechanism. Meso network strategies include guiding rules of habitat, hydrologic process, geological disaster buffering, recreation and cultural heritage protection optimized networks. Micro design strategies include lay emphasis on the relationship between status textures and around, intensify ecological system stability; excavate local culture and attach equal importance to use and protection; establish community sharing mechanism and lead public participation. Then the dissertation proceeds further practical exploration of shallow mountain area green space ideal pattern construction at town scale. Take Sujiatuo town of Beijing Haidian District as an example, to construct shallow mountain area green space ideal pattern from macro-meso-micro scale and propose implementation strategies, in this way to revise and perfect the research conclusions. This dissertation starts through the view of landscape architecture and bases on the idea of moderate protection to put forward construction strategy from macro, meso, micro scale for the development and conservation of green space in Beijing shallow mountain area which covers policies and regulations, network construction and site design. The study will be a significant guide for the construction practice of Beijing and other mountain front cities in China.
