Cities are important for human well-being and recreation. City urban landscape contribute to positive and healthy environment and improve human capacity through innovative open spaces, water fronts and land uses such as green parks, squares, street furniture, sculptures and fountains.Enshi city urban landscape features and construction are unique and challenging mainly in repair and use of historical and cultural relics and extend the land for construction in an environment that is derived from city mountainous terrain spaces, as well control and mitigate the urban sprawl on the basis of scientific evidence and effectiveness.Despite the fact that many cities experience some or all of these problems, Enshi city in addition rely on the future to become an attractive tourist city in the western province of Hubei with unique benefits of geological landform of high scientific value and ornamental patterns where a variety of natural factors took place in an exceptional glacier system and hydro-geological courses and groundwater. The research idea was in formulating comprehensive guidelines in an attempt to adapt to the needs of Enshi city and towards the development of landscape features and construction, improve the quality of urban ecosystem and building a harmonious society. The above strategy was built out of nine pillars to emphasis landscape planning in a scientific and effective manner. One of these pillars was to identify similar holdings in terms of old and modern neighborhoods and give privacy to areas for education, industry, tourism and others. Another pillar took into account the construction activity in urban spaces and divided it into four sections, one of which is to prohibit engagement in settlement in the territory of the waterfront but allow construction allocation according to guidelines and certain requirements which deal with building heights and covering ratios in each separate section and finally the preparation of master plans. The research also identified the waterfront skyline and shoreline as two of the most important tasks. Waterfronts are important in linking the natural and urban fabrics, introducing a visual balance, making access and benefit watching live scenes along the axis of the city from north to south, maintaining vegetative cover, providing passive recreational areas and removing the negative activities. The mountains are the most important landmarks in the natural urban landscape. They contribute and upgrade the aesthetic and recreational capacity with the vegetation whirling the city back garden as well as the provision of the natural parks. The study acknowledged open green areas as having an important role in enriching the built environment standards. Green belts survey includes natural, regional, seasonal characteristics and economic diversity that help in the naming of species and drawing a master plan in accordance with the plant color, spread, density and size. The Study overstressed the importance of roads and public squares in the identification of places, history and culture, which requires setting priorities in terms of importance, size and occupancy and other factors that affect the design in terms of greenery and consistency of color and lighting. The study also focuses on night lighting in terms of quantity, quality and distribution of the important landscape within the city. The study found that there are several factors which control the color coordination and distribution within the city and these factors include geography, history and culture of the city’s ethnic diversity. Colors include black, red, blue and these reflect national dress costume. Reddish, brown, white and black are the colors of traditional architecture. Cyan, green, red, black, represent the river, flora, rocks and selenium, respectively. The methodology adopted is literature review and desk study supported and enriched by field observations, questionnaire and SWOT analysis. The study concluded that landscape features and construction planning should consider existing land uses, detailed analysis of infrastructures simultaneously with public perception and environmental awareness to build structural concepts and develop urban ecosystems and to overcome the existing problems.
