With the rapid development of communication technology, internet technology, cloud computing technology, and information processing technology, a variety of information terminal products, as well as Website and App run on such devices, makes people’s life in an increasingly fast pace, increasing efficiency. The trend of life makes people unwilling to wait, and can’t bear a slow interaction. In the site, app, software and IT system service, waiting for the process is complained, and need to be improved, because waiting will interrupt the flow of operation, affect the efficiency of task completion, and make users in boring, wasting of time, and depressed mental state.This article does not discuss any human-computer interaction technology, algorithm, formula, but the experience of "people". Based on the theoretical knowledge of design, psychology, ergonomics and other interdisciplinary theory, this paper study and research the waiting state deeply, and will sum up design method and strategy, which is scientifical, reasonable, feasible, and suitable to waiting state.Unlike the generally think that waiting should be improved efficiently by accelerating the speed, efficiency and other way around, which will increase the costs of money and time. Referring to the results of previous studies and draw on relevant interdisciplinary knowledge and combining with the design, ergonomics theory knowledge, this paper propose design optimization of waiting process experience from the view of feelings and waiting time of user intervention from psychological perspective: advocate a user-centered design ideas, and clearly put forward the interactive waiting must be initiated and controlled by user. The system must guarantee that user’s behavior be feedback correctly at the same time; in order to smooth user’s experience, the design of waiting should pay attention to business logic and process optimization, and consider when and where the waiting should be setted; designer should know that the higher value of waiting is, user will spend a longer time to wait for it; to give user an easily experience to view their process of“boring”,“helpless”,“anxiety”,we must focused on the design optimization of user psychology and experience, and change users’ cognitive attitude to the waiting and time spended; the form of interaction wait need to allocate with the business, and designer must choose correct from full screen type, exclusive type, message type, and process type; the interface should tell user the business logic and content clearly, in a polite, warm, relaxed, humorous expression to guide the user to view the process of waiting;in order to improve efficiency and ensure the consistency of the product experience,we also should try to make a modular design,so that the designer can choose corresponding design scheme according to the business logic, scene, and another corresponding factors.In a word, we can “short” the time of waiting and reduce the gegative sense of waiting by design. In order to improve the experience detailly, we have to analyze the influencing factors carefully and find a workable solution. The research results can not only provide the design basis and guidline for designers, but also help manufacturers to solve practical problems,the further study can also help to explore the design theory in depth, which is significant to enrich, improve and promote the development of theory of interacitive design.
