Historic Research On Confluence Of Chinese And Western Medicine Scientificalized Chinese Medicine And Integration Of Chinese Medicine And Western Medicine

Since the introduction of Western Medicine to China, how to recongnize and cope with the relationship between Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine becomes a topic to research. After the Opium War, there arose the "Confluence of Chinese and Western Medicine"faction in China, due to the good intentions, the faction devoted to the comparison and confluence of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, but this intention did not come true, maybe the conditions for researching were not sufficient or maybe the understanding of related information was incorrect, up to now, no one can give a clear expanation. After the May4th Movement, there appeared another opinion from internal Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, which emphasized the scientificalization of the Traditonal Chinese Medicine. Why the traditional Chinese Medicine should be scientificalized? Was it right or not? What kind of relationship between the thought trend and the confluence thought? The answer is still not clear. After the founding of the new China, the Chinese Communist government and Chairman Mao advocated the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and launched a huge "Western Learning" Activity and a long "Combination of Chinese and Western Medicine" Movement with the national power. To be frank, the confluence and combination haven’t got a perfect level which has some problems to research. On the historical and realistic problems, we should not only give a conlusion, but analyze and answer these problems theoretically as well.The paper is divided into three sections. The first section is mainly about the history development for the confluence of Chinese and Western Medicine, scientificalized Chinese Medicine and integration of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine including the important representatives and their thought trends, by analyzing the occurrence, the root and source, the paper will give an objective evaluation on modern history of relationship between Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine. The second section is mainly about the logical correlation among the confluence of Chinese and Western Medicine, scientificalized Chinese Medicine and integration of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, through the philosophy of Marxism, gives a deeper analysis about the success and failure of the confluence of Chinese and Western Medicine, scientificalized Chinese Medicine and integration of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine from the perspective of thinking and method. The third section is mainly about the theory and practice of the confluence of Chinese and Western Medicine, scientificalized Chinese Medicine and integration of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, explores the guiding ideology, target and ways of the future development of the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. The paper points out that:Chinese and Western medicine is not only two kinds of medical technology, but also two kinds of medical culture; how to deal with the relationship between Chinese medicine and Western medicine, which needs the deep and clear theory, needs the clear and feasible practice direction, needs the reasonable and operational specific contents, needs the universal conclusion which can be inspected. All these need a deep and wide research on the relationship between Chinese medicine and Western medicin. The ultimate goal of Integrative Chinese and Western medicine should prosper the human health cause, and add new ideas, new thoughts, new technologies and new medical modes to the development of the human scientific medicine.
