On Orthodox And Unorthodox In The Process Of The Development Of Marxism

Orthodox and unorthodox means people to understand and interpret the different schools and tendencies of Marxism. Inheritance and development of Marxism mainly reflect understanding and interpretation of it for future generations. As the inheritable patterns and processes, there must be several different patterns and interpretations for Marxism. In the process of diversity and pluralism for understanding and interpreting Marxism , both orthodox and unorthodox Marxists are the objective products in the process of the development and evolution of Marxism. They constitute the history of the development of Marxist in one side. Orthodox Marxism emphasizes the significance and value of the conclusion in some points, maintaining the spirits of the original thought for the text. However, orthodox pursues the unique interpretation for Marxism in the extreme form. Absolutely correct interpretation and the ultimate interpretation lead to the dogmatic, rigid and religious tendency, which constricts and impedes the innovation and development of Marxism. The Second International Marxism, Russian and Soviet Marxism are the typical examples. The characteristics of unorthodox is to question and to doubt, which challenges the authority and status of orthodox Marxism, in the pursuit of different understanding and interpretation from that of orthodox Marxism. So it leads to the formation of diversity and different patterns. The extreme form of unorthodox pursues the pure text and pure academic, practice and political ideology, separating from the times. It changes Marxism into a cultural phenomenon and a few intellectuals’inner monologue. The case in point is some schools of western Marxism and the history of their outcome. Contemporary Chinese Communists assimilate ideological and theoretical wisdom of orthodox and unorthodox Marxism, transcending the limitations of their history, creating a theoretical system of Sinicization of Marxism and socialism with Chinese characteristics and they make a lot of achievements as well as innovation of Marxism in the new century.
