Valence Theory And Semantic Lexicon

The emergence of Vanlency Grammar, Thematic theory, Case Grammar and other theories have promoted the resarch of the corresponding relationship between lexical semantics and syntax. The correspondence between predicate lexical semantic structure and syntactic structure is called valence structure, which is based on valency ability of the predicate lexical unit, Paducheva’s diathesis, government pattern of Moscow Semantic School and argument structure in western linguistics can be included in the list.
