This thesis divides Vl+V2qualifing-center structure into verb-adverbial and noun - modifying structures, and the content as well as the studying methods of each tructure is almost the same. Consisting of three chapters except the preface and the conclusion, the paper makes a systematic observation and comprehensive analysis of the internal relation, external function of the overall structure and contrasts between the two structures. The first and second chapters separately study V1+V2 verb-adverbial and noun - modifying structure, besides the semantic features of Viand V2and semantic patterns of collocation between them, the thesis also points out that in V1+V2 verb-adverbial structure, the verb and adverbial are both autonomous verbs; in V1+V2 noun-modifying structure, the noun and the modifying are also both autonomous verbs, and the noun is generally a verb that can have a object behind it, the modifying is generally a verb that can not have a object behind it. On this basis, the thesis analyzes the semantic directions of V1, the adverbial mainly points to the central word and the subject, but the modifying mainly points to the central word and the outside modifying. Lastly, the thesis analyzes syntactic behaviors of the overall structures: verb-adverbial structure mainly acts as predicate, but noun-modifying structure mainly acts as object and subject. The third chapter contrasts the two structures. Firstly, I contrast their collocation on pronunciation: verb-adverbial structure has four kinds, "V single+ V single,V dual+ V dual" is the most, " V dual+ V single" is less and "V single+ V dual" is the least, but noun -modifying structure has only one kind "V dual+ V dual" . Furthermore, I contrast their stability: in the most part of verb-adverbial structure , "地" can be added after V1, but only in a small part of noun -modifying structure, "的" can be added after V1, which declares that noun-modifying structure is more stable than verb-adverbial structure; I also point out that the same changes of the two structures after added "地or的" are that the confination is weakened and the qualification is strengthened; besides these, the syntactic behavior, pragmatics of them is also changed greatly. Finally, I contrast their categorization, finding out that they have surprising similarities: when V1 of verb-adverbial structure is typical and non-typical,V2 of noun -modifying structure is non-typical, the structures are both typical; and when V1 of verb-adverbial structure,V2 of noun-modifying structure are weak-typical, the structures are both non-typical, which manifests that V1 of verb-adverbial structure and V2 of noun - modifying structure both require weaker action. Specificly speaking, verb-adverbial structure is easily mixed up with verb-object,noun - modifying, parallel structure, and noun - modifying structure is easily mixed up with verb-adverbial and parallel structure, besides this, the ambiguity of the former is more than the latter.
