The Study Of Zhi Yu

This doctoral dissertation is based on Zhi Yu(挚虞)and Wenzhangliubieji(《文章流别集》). The first chapter discusses the relationship of Zhi Yu and study of Confucian classics of Wei(魏)and Jin(晋)We think Zhi Yu as a scholar of ancient writing and a follower of Wang Su(王肃). The success of Xinli(《新礼》) is carried on achievement of Xun Yi(荀顗)and is completed by Zhi Yu and Fu Xian(傅�'�). Zhi Yu is a good sample of scholars of Western Jin(晋)Dynasty。The second chapter is a discussion on the relationship between official historian and sylloge compiled.17Mishujian(秘书监)whose main assignment is collecting, checking and compiling books are investigated, and Zhi Yu is one of them. There are several books which be writed by Zhi Yu and Wenzhangliubieji is one of them. One who wants to become an official historian must be a writer. Bibliography, classification of history and historiography are all play important roles in Wenzhangliubieji.The third chapter discusses the relationship between trend of argument from Han(汉)and Wei (魏)and theory of Wenzhangliubieji. The former not only affects Zhi Yu’s thought, but also causes the effects on literary criticism. The Style distinction and the concept of mere possession of specific talent come from concepts of classification of Renwuzhi(人物志)There are several effects of trend of argument including searching for roots of style discussion and clarifying style discrimination which is clear performance on Fu(赋), Song(颂),Qi(七)and so on.The forth chapter is a discussion on the literary creation and theory of Zhi Yu from the Western Jin Dynasty literature view. Writers and works which are mainly in Han(汉)Dynasty are generally simulated by the article writers of the Western Jin Dynasty. There are frequently literary activities which Zhi Yu had been attend to write some poems. Jin civil strife caused scholar of differentiation, Zhi Yu represents a part of pure scholars. The literature attitude is quite different from the historian and writer mainly in the specific stylistic feature, the choice of representative works, the environment of work generated, the comparison of author and literary concept.The last chapter researches Wenzhangliubieji specially. We discuss the literature and the talents and widely knowledge which affect the compilation of Wenzhangliubieji. We pay attention to Zhuzi (诸子) books writing and Leishu(类书) compiling. Simulate writing is popular in Western Jin Dynasty, so Wenzhangliubieji is compiled in order to direct writing. We also pay attention to development and the naming process of Zongji(总集)and Bieji (别集),and point out that Cao Pi(曹丕)and paper widely used play important roles. There is the prevailing view in the theory of Wenzhangliubieji, so the achievement of Zhi Yu collect them as a whole. We research the style of Wenzhangliubieji at last.
