Theso-called “inertial pull effects†means the high-speed development effects of the theoryof sigillography caused by the mature theory of Literature, calligraphy, paintingapplied with significant influence to the theory of sigillography appearing late. The “inertial pull effects†is mainly shown in the following respects: the first issupplying forms to the theory of sigillography directly, that is to say, the theory ofancient Chinese sigillography emulates the theory of literature, calligraphy andpainting in forms directly. The second is the influence and inheritance on thoughts, which we can see in the consistency of times in aesthetic thoughts. The third is theemulation and consistency in aesthetic principle of theory of sigillography. Literature inherited traditional culture ideasuch as orthodox, enlightenment, easily engaged in art and reaching the truth, as wellas the phenomenon through literature to express author’s emotion directly influence onthe theory of sigillography. The thought that emphasizes “the sigillography imitates thestyle of Qin and Han dynastyâ€,“telling people to be good and punish the bad†and“easily engaged in art and reaching the truth†is caused by literature concept. Theconcept in theory of literature that “article concentrates on temperament†is the root ofthe fashion of “commenting on seal by temperament†and “discussing the seal bytemperamentâ€.The second chapter and the third chapter discusses the role of linguistic theoryand calligraphy theory to the theory of sigillography, as well as the phenomenon ofdirect imitation and reference that the theory of sigillography to the calligraphy theory. The fourth chapter is about the origin of painting. Scholars and groups play an important role in formation ofdevelopment system of the theory of sigillography. The “moral order†is not forever, and it needs modest “mastery and means†to draw nutrition.“Mastery and means†isthe personality, is the emancipation and reconstruction in action of idolizing theancients. If there is no “mastery and meansâ€, the “moral order†Will be rigid and havea short life. The thoughts of “advocating the ancients†and “idolizing the ancients†runthrough the development of theory of sigillography.
