When the footsteps of times step into a new century, all seemed to open a newchapter in China. People’s feeling of longing for wonderful life was opened in down.In the political, economic, and cultural thoughts, China gradually has dawn of hopeshowing the new look of new China. In modern China, the footsteps of progressappear in every area. It is hard to imagine since primitive Hemudu blew the firstmelody, how Chinese people began their musical cultural heritage. This road is full ofsongs and dances, brilliance and bitterness. Chinese people use their wisdom to cast tocontinuous and long national music for nature, life, society and mind.In modern China, heritance and development of musical culture are with anticipationand frustration brought by times, but we see generations of Chinese musicians bringhope and sigh for national music development. And He Lvting is one of thoseoutstanding musicians. Mr. He Lvting, one of renowned musicians and educationists,has the most widespread impact on temporary Chinese music. From birth to death, healmost went through the entire twentieth Century. He experienced the final rule of theQing Dynasty, Xinhai Revolution, the May4th Movement, the founding of theCommunist Party of China, the Anti-Japanese War, war of liberation, the founding ofnew China, Cultural Revolution, reform and opening up and the turn of the century,which are nearly all of the twentieth Century great history node. He comprehendedand experienced changing society and reform and development of Chinese music,musical education. It can be said, his musical achievements are engraved the strongage stigma, his music education thought and practice are with distinctive features oftimes.In Mr. He Lvting’s music education and career, the classic works which enjoygreat popularity continue to emerge. Music education practice keeps deepening.Music education ideas continue to become mature. We can say that his unremittingexploration and outstanding achievements in musical education and creation not onlyplay an important role at that time, also have strong reference significance andinestimable effect to development of today’s music education in our country. Incontemporary China, we need to think about and resolve all these realistic issues suchas how music education should development, how to further enrich the educationalthoughts, how to complete educational practice, what and how music educationshould be taught. In order to solve these issues, we must summarize systemically andunderstand the one-hundred-year’s reform and development on Chinese modernmusic education, meanwhile deeply consider resolutions to current situation andissues. We need to find out the typical and representative figures for analysis, and findthe answer to the question in the course of history. Thus, it requires person who hadexperienced one-hundred-year’s reform and development on Chinese modern musiceducation and achieved great success in music creation and education to study. HeLvting is the perfect choice. The core content of this thesis is obvious. It is about He,Lvting and Chinese contemporary music education. Based on He Luting’s thoughts and practice in Chinese contemporary musiceducation development, the thesis takes " one principle runs through it all",“aestheticeducation comes first”,“teaching others teaⅢches yourself”,“combination of teachingand moral education”,“teaching as the base” as core ideas. It emphasizes on HeLvting’s ideals and thoughts in music and music education thoughts and practice. Thethesis consists of five chapters except the introduction and conclusion.The introduction mainly wrote four parts of contents: pointing out the reasons ofissues and research perspective, reviewing literature comprehensively andsystematically, describing research status; clarifying thoughts and the overall structure,describing the study methods.The first chapter comprehensively summarizes He Lvting’s life and theorybackground. This chapter is divided into two parts. The first part concentrates on HeLvting’s life, highlighting his remarkable characteristics and traits as "hoe musician "and " the people’s musician ". The second part mainly discusses the He Lvting’stheory background, based on development background of Chinese modern musiceducation. It divides his music creation, music education and research process intotwo sections, namely the first paragraph: before the founding of the PRC--“busilyengaged in warfare on the life "; second: build country--" Rongrubujing half century".The second chapter explains the musical ideal and concept. This chapter focuseson He Lvting’s music in the process of “three points ". It mainly discusses andcomments on music creation, namely road of creation, features of musicians andmusic aesthetics.The third chapter studies the musical education thought and practiceachievements of research. Firstly, He Lvting’s music education ideas and practice arereviewed and positioning, and it points out that in the important role of He Lvting‘smusic education. Next, this thesis systematically discussed six aspects of He Lvting’smusic education ideas and practice contents from the strategic thinking of musiceducation, music education personnel training mode, music teaching method, nationalmusic education practice, music education of the international exchange andreflection, the music education system in details. At last it summarizes his musiceducation thoughts and practice of achievements.The fourth chapter studies He Lvting’s ideological theoretical basis the musicaleducation. Different from the previous research methods and research perspective, thethesis deeply analyzes He Lvting’s music education system in the theoretical basis ofa detailed argumentation, systematically expounds that his music education thoughtsessentially are inheriting and spreading Mao Zedong Thought on the theory of theinheritance and development of Chinese modern music education. It is a thinking andextension to Bruner, Piaget and the western psychologist psychology theory andapplication.The fifth chapter firstly discusses the main characteristics of He Lvting’s thoughtof music education, then focuses on He Lvting’s Chinese contemporary musiceducation thoughts, and thus it systematically discusses China’s current musiceducation development status and problems. The final chapter fully reveals that the important enlightenments of He Lvting’ music education thoughts and its usefulreference meaning to practice of current education and research.Finally, in the conclusion part, it provides solutions to problems mentioned inthe introduction part problem, puts forward innovation, inadequate and relevant issuesthat may further improved and provides thinking and resolutions to issues related toChina music education, music aesthetics and aesthetic education and other issues.
