Study On The Practice And Historical Contribution Of Music Education In Shanghai During Liu

Liu Zhiping,as a music educator,musicologist,composer of modern China,meanwhile as the leader of modern music education,has formed his own unique education mode affected by the education and guidance of Mr. Li Shutong,the“aesthetic education”thought of Mr. Cai Yuanpei and other foreign music culture.His noble personality education and reasonable education mode has affected the students from generation to generation.Unfortunately,the records of his educational practices and academic activities are extremely rare.This paper aims to his educational practices in Shanghai which is the most important stage in his education career.the author gives a further analysis,arrangement and research(Archive investigation,interview with his son Liu Xueyang,communication with Cao Bula and Chen Jingye)based on the existing data,in a new point of view,and then finds out his contributions to music education of Shanghai even the whole country,and his historical contributions to the development of school music education during the modern China during his education career in Shanghai.The paper is divided into 3 parts,the first part is to introduce the core and source of Liu Zhiping music education thought,focus on analyzing the personality and thought of his respected teacher Li Shutong and the “aesthetic education”thought of Cr. Cai Yuanpei,in order to recognize the theoretical foundation of his music education career in Shanghai;The second part is to discuss his education practices and academic activities in Shanghai.Establish the Shanghai Fine Arts Training School in assistance,establish the Shanghai Collage of Fine Arts,participate in the regroup of the Shanghai Xinhua Art School and Affiliated Normal School,establish”The Chinese aesthtic education will”and the magazine <Aesthetic education>,write articles,publications and give lectures,etc.All the activities mentioned above are themost important practice activities in Shanghai and most important experience in his education career.The third part is to discuss the historical affection of his education practices and education thought in Shanghai,relates to the position of his music education activities in his whole music education career,and relates to the affection to the music history of Shanghai and the whole country.Liu Zhiping spent his whole life to the music education,and formed a unique music education mode.All the music education practices are based on the education theory which should follow the order and gradually progress and change accordance with current music political situation.this paper is a summary to the music education practices and historical contributions of LIu Zhiping in Shanghai,and also a supplement to the materials of chinese modern musical history.
