Marx’s thoughts originated in "Modernity" which worked as thetheory horizon."Critique of modernity" was both the theme of Marx’sthoughts and the practical activity. The ultimate value of Marx’s “Critiqueof modernity” purported to liberate humanbeing, and make it possible forpeople to develop themselves freely and comprehensively. Therefore, what the purpose for Marx was to find the true road of humanliberation,by diagnosing the historical destiny, inheriting the historicalachievements, and sublating the historical form of "modernity".According to the development of Marx’s life and thoughts, we couldfind that "poetry","capital" and "history" were the keywords andgeographic lines for understanding Marx’s thoughts. These three keywords corresponding to sentiment, knowledge and wish which composed mentalstructures, respectively formed Marx’s aesthetics, logic, ethics. Therefore,Marx’s critique of modernity had three basic dimensions or aspects.Namely,Critique which based on experience,Critique that grounded onreflection, and Critique by practice. The Poetry-centered critique of Modernity was Marx’sExperience-critique. The significance of such a study was that We couldtreat Marx not as an thinking-machine with no face and no emotion, but asa sensitive, individual, historical and passionate human-being.It would behelpful for us to grasp the process of Mark’s thoughts. It helped usunderstand the generation and development of Marx’s thoughts, and revealthe original value of poetic worldview based on Marx’s poetry for Marx’sthoughts.Experience-critique of modernity was the poetic form and theaesthetic finish of Modernity critique.Capital-based critique of modernity was the main part of Marx’sreflection-critique. Capital was the inner soul and construction principleof capitalist society, and also was the hidden crux of Modernity problems. After sublating poetic worldvie,Marx tried to find the truth inhuman-world by means of criticizing earthly reality, laws, politics andeven philosophy. But all of the critiques were eventually ascribed toCapital-critique.By Reflection-critique of modernity, Marx establishedthe Historical Materialism world outlook, demonstrated the ScientificCommunism, and revolutionized philosophical mode of thinking withpractice-way. Since then, philosophy strived to become a reality andserviced for the history of philosophy. That was Marx’sReflection-critique of modernity which showed itself with a thoughtfulform and a logical completion.History-oriented critique constituted the Practice-critique ofmodernity. Exactly as Marx said,"philosophers interpreted the world indifferent ways, but what was the problem was to change theworld".Thinking critically could not really criticize modernity. Liberationalso was not a liberation in a thought form. Only by the means ofrealizing the reality of human liberation could we realistically achievehuman liberation."It was enough for us to abandon the idea of private property if we had the ideological communism. But a real privateproperty sublation did need a realistic communism." Along with historytrending to World History, there would eventually bring a realisticcommunist movement, and a world-widely united liberator,i.e.,theproletariat,would finally liberate people globally. This is Marx’spractice-critique of modernity,as a practice-form and a history-fulfillment.With "discovered history and historymovement"–centered,Marx’s Critique of modernity ended in the realisticcommunist movements, sublating private property and realizing liberationof the proletariat. Thus,Marx’s Critique of modernity and the Communist Ideal ofhuman liberation originated from poetry, based on thoughts, and fulfilledthrough practice. With modernity–critique and human liberationcentric, revealing these three basic critique-dimensions, we would be ableto grasp the shaping-path of Marx’s Historical Materialism and ScientificCommunism as an aesthetic, logic and historic formation, and expoundmore deeply Marx’s thoughts, the philosophical revolution, and the communist movement aiming in human liberation.
