From the aspect of Korean-Japanese comparative study, this research is centered onKorean Japanese case-auxiliary word and special (fu)-auxiliary word, examining theco-occurrence category and co-occurrence sequence between the case-auxiliary words, special (fu)-auxiliary words, case-auxiliary words and special (fu)-auxiliary words.Besides, this research applies the functional linguistics theory and sums up the generalprinciples which affect the auxiliary word co-occurrence. The main innovation pointsof this research are as follows:First, this research sums up the co-occurrence relation of the auxiliary word. Theycan both progressively increase and adduct relations. The former means that thepreceding auxiliary word is combined with the core word and attached by theposterior auxiliary word. The latter means firstly combine into a composite particlewith parallel relationship, then be attached to the preceding core word. Auxiliary wordco-occurrence can be divided into adjacent co-occurrence and isolated co-occurrenceaccording to their forms. Adjacent co-occurrence refers to the combination of theauxiliary word that are attached to the same language components, while isolatedco-occurrence refers to the auxiliary word which comes out continuously in onesentence. Among them, the adduct Relations and isolated co-occurrence are the thingswe should pay attention to.Second, it examines the sequence of the auxiliary word co-occurrence in Koreanand Japanese.(1) Compare the co-occurrence sequence between the case-auxiliaryword, including the co-occurrence between the case-auxiliary word I, case-auxiliaryword II, case-auxiliary word I and case-auxiliary word II.(2) Compare theco-occurrence sequence between the special (fu)-auxiliary word, including theco-occurrence between the special (fu)-auxiliary word I and special (fu)-auxiliaryword II, special (fu)-auxiliary word II.(3) Compare the co-occurrence sequencebetween the case-auxiliary word and the special (fu)-auxiliary word, including theco-occurrence between the case-auxiliary word I and special (fu)-auxiliary word I, case-auxiliary word I and special (fu)-auxiliary word II, case-auxiliary word II andspecial (fu)-auxiliary word I, case-auxiliary word II and special (fu)-auxiliary word II.Third, it sums up the general principles.(1) Auxiliary word co-occurrence is basedon markedness principle, semantic proximity principle and the linear order principle, among which semantic proximity principle and the linear order principle decide theco-occurrence sequence.(2) Special (fu)-auxiliary word co-occurrence is based onsemantic prosody principle, semantic scope principle and salience principle, amongwhich the semantic prosody principle accounts for the possibility of the co-occurrencein special (fu)-auxiliary word. Besides, semantic scope principle and salienceprinciple decide the co-occurrence sequence.(3) Auxiliary word and special(fu)-auxiliary word co-occurrence is based on semantic proximity principle, semanticscope principle and subjectification degree principle. Among them, semantic scopeprinciple and subjectification degree principle are closely related, which are limited toa more common principle--semantic proximity principle. At last, this research refersto the necessity and importance of the study about auxiliary word co-occurrence.The auxiliary word plays a important role in Korean and Japanese, which is alsocomplex. This study is just a preliminary exploration, focusing on the case-auxiliaryword special (fu)-auxiliary word, not studying the auxiliary word fully.
