Since The New Period Epic Writing Poetry

This article used the epic poetry writing in the new period as the researchobject of writing, it discussed the controversial and ambiguous "epic","epic"and other concepts of set, also it viewed the epic poetry writing as a kind ofwriting with its unique ontology construction characteristics, and has its ownspace for development. While connecting the historical context to recourse andanalysis in the epic poetry writing’s cultural identity, this article startedon the concrete poetry text interpretation, combined with the macro discussionand specific way of close reading, to discuss the space-time structure,the rhetoricand aesthetic features of epic poetry writing on its poetry ontology ground. Italso tried to put the evaluation on the value and significance of epic poetrywriting, into the enlightenment, dialogue and exchanges of the new century’s poetrytheory and practice. Specific to say:The first chapter discussed the origin, philosophical connotation,development process and other aspects of epic and the epic from, then it analyzedthe origin and evolution of the epic poetry writing. While discussing Jiang Heand Yang Lian’s cultural "Root-seeking" writing, and the "modern epic" of "thethird generation" in the late eighty’s,as well as the individual’s epic poetrywriting in the ninety’s, it also compared and distinguished the concept of "epic",and analyzed the connotation of "epic poetry writing" which this article proposedfurther. This "epic poetry writing", not only towards "epic" and had certain "epic"pursuit in accordance with the main "epic" characteristics,but it also developeda clear tendency of "modern epic" position in the new period, it not only wrote"modern" landscape of spirit, but also used diverse modern art experience, andformed its unique construction system.The second chapter was a comprehensive discussion. It summarized andInterpreted the cultural demand and the spiritual direction of epic poetrywriting.The first section put the epic poetry writing into the flow of newpoetry’s developing scene, and gave the "legitimacy" proof of its occurrence and development in a given time period. In response to the era and the world’s calland the poetry’s body requirements, with the enlightenment of modern westernpoetry, and with the individual writing ambition and psychological expansion ofpoet groups, with its self adjustment between the history and reality on writingposition, the epic poetry writing has historical inevitability, it also has complexevolution to cope with the test of reality. The second section summarized thetendency characterization of epic poetry writing in the new period. From look onthe whole, the epic poetry writing in the new period has some development trajectoryin the writing standpoint, the regional nature, the cultural integration, theexperimental and open nature.These qualities has become an obvious sign todifferent from other types of poetry writing.The third chapter put epic poetry writing into the textual research of itsspecific occurrence and development, to debate the structure of tension of itsculture position: the individual identity consciousness between seeking roots andescaping away, the standpoints between the traditional and modern, the classicaland avant-garde, the whole writing and individual writing.The first section basedon the analysis of "epic poetry complex" since the vernacular poetry, it discussedthe impact of the "epic poetry complex" on the work’s mission consciousness, itstranscendence and the pursuit of a grand scale to the epic poetry writing. Thesecond section examined epic poetry writing’s tough stance between traditionaland modern attitude. In the face of "the anxiety of influence" coming from thestrong tradition, epic poetry writing has a complex attitude towards culturaltradition. From its more obvious development, we can divide it into two kinds:one kind hold of an overall recognition attitude towards the traditional culture,another hold a more resisted and refusal attitude. The third section mainlyexpounded the epic poetry writing’s position consciousness between the "wholewriting" and "individual writing".From the fourth chapter to the sixth,this article took a comprehensive reviewin the internalof the epic poetry writing,it took a deep ontological contemplationof the epic poetry writing on the aspects of its space-time structure, its rhetoric and aesthetics character etc.The fourth chapter discussed the structure of thinking of the epic poetrywriting in its temporal and spatial structures. The temporal structure of epicpoetry writing originated from the western and Chinese philosophy of time resources,it has formed two kinds of basic time writing mode: static cyclical time mode anddynamic limited time mode. In the specific writing, temporal structure mainlyreflected in the expression of the poetry’s historical presence, the poetry’stwo kinds of writing speed in the time state----fast and slow, and the poetry’spermanent character and instantaneous experience. The spatial structure of epicpoetry writing reflected in its cultural geography writing, as well as itsconstruction of external text structure and internal "mental space".The fifth chapter researched the rhetorical strategy of epic poetry writing,from these following analysis: in the view of rhetoric, epic poetry writing showeda bidirectional use of lyric and narrative; at the same time, epic poetry writingnot only had an overall depth mode of symbol and metaphor, it also had a reductionand reconstruction of the surface of everyday; in the view of rhetoricalrepresentation, the most obvious feature of epic poetry writing is its mythprototype and imagery carnival; in the view of rhetorical expression, epic poetrywriting also shows a variety of language state, its language style stepped intoa characteristic of "comprehensive ", its language forging tended to quote archaismand allusions into poems, it also created an absorption of folk oral and ballad,in addition to that, it had musicality and the internal tension of uniform andcontradictions of language.The sixth chapter discussed the aesthetic characteristics of epic poetrywriting. First it examined the aesthetic effect of heroism and lofty on epic poetrywriting, then it analyzed the real and imaginary aesthetic consciousness with itshistory and reality sense under the epic distance, as well as its phantom writingand meaning space, then it also analyzed the tragedy and comedy aesthetics of epicpoetry writing. The homeless spiritual situation, the fate of death, the fracture,split and chaos of self, the predicament of language constituted the tragedy connotation of epic poetry writing. And the "comedy" technique such as irony,parody and absurdity lead epic poetry writing into the aesthetics of comedy.The seventh chapter was a collection and reference of the previous questionconsciousness. It took a comprehensive survey of the value and the inherent defectsof epic poetry writing. It also tried to combine epic poetry writing with thecurrent poetry creation,to imagine the possibility of future epic poetry writingon the horizon.The focus and innovation point of this paper lies in: firstly, it esteemedthe"epic poetry writing " as a complete, independent object of study. Former studyof the new period poetry paid more attention to genres and types of poetry (suchas the upsurge of "modernism" poetry), so in the naming of collective poetry formerstudy had certain rationality, but it also contained the tendency of inert thinkingand failure chaos. This paper attempted to break through the directed research ofschools and doctrine, meawhile it tried to avoid concept cross and confusion withthe "generation" naming,the "position" naming, the "current"naming,esteemed theepic poetry writing as a relatively independent overall research, and strived toput it into the continuous development of the modern scene to discuss. Secondly,this paper focused on the body of epic poetry writing,studied from the space-timestructure, rhetoric and aesthetic characteristics these three dimensions,andtried to form a comprehensive review of its poetics and the writing quality. Thirdly,while this paper put epic poetry writing in the "traditional" constitute andhistorical picture, attention is paid to the review and interpretation of epicpoetry writing back to its internal body of the overall. In response to a varietyof debate and discussion of the epic poetry writing’s internal elements, alsotired to put epic poetry writing on the contemporary poetry writing horizon, toanalyse its value and defect and question the possible direction for future writing.In the aspects of carving out poetry writing horizon, sticking to the spirit ofwriting heights, the transcendence of exploration such as the language and formexperiment of poetry, epic poetry writing is the brilliant pastiche, it alsoprovides good reference for other poetry writing. But at the same time it also has disadvantages that need alert and improvement, such as the text internalconfusion and crushing,the biased theory and the position, the metaphysicalmetaphysics maze and intransitive writing vague ills.This paper responded to thequestions and debates on the epic writing, and tried to reveal the deep landscapeof epic poetry writing at the same time, to analyse its internal contradictiontension structure of interwoven, and consciously put it into the exploration ofthe outlet and new development direction,the the crisis and contradictions ofpoetry, it also put forward some tentative suggestions for the epic poetry writing.
