Clicks The Sweat The Koran Inter-row Translation Study

The Kuran translation and commentary form a special group among the important works of turkic linguisitc history. The Kuran translations produced in the different temporal and geographical area of the Turkic speaking world have a great importance of Turkic linguistc studies. Six Eastern Turkic Kuran translations are known, which were produced in the twelfth-sixteenth centuries.(1) The first one is a manuscript preserved in the museum for Turkic and Islamic Works at Istanbul as No.73(2). The second one is preserved in the John Rylands Library at Manchester, England as Rylands Arabic MSS25-38.(3) The third one is a manuscript presered in El-Beruny Oriental institute of Uzbek Academy of Sciences at Tashkent as No.2008(4) the fourth one is a manuscript preserved in the institute of peoples of Asia at Saint Pertersburg.(5) the fifth one is a manuscript preserved in the Suleymaniye Library at Istanbul.(6) the last one is a voluminous translation and commentary preserved in the libraries at Istanbul and Konya.The thesis is mainly based on the microfilm of the TIEM T73Kuran translation preserved in Sulaymaniye Library at Istanbul, but with addition from, and collation with, the publishing text about the manuscript from John Rylands Library at Manchester by Ata, Aysu2004, and the microfilm of the manuscript from the institute of peoples of Asia at Saint Petersburg, which is preserved in Library of Turkic Language Association (Turk Dili Kurumu) at Ankara. The thesis includes the transliteration, trancscription, commentary, translation and glossary, besides the text is accompanied by a concise grammer.This thesis includes the following four parts1. IntroductionIn the introduction chapter, detailed information about the aim and singnificantce of this study have been provided. The known Kuran translations preserved in libraries of all over the world have been introduced. the last and present statement about the Kuran trnalations have been reviewed.2. Tranliteration, transcription, commentary and translationThe transliteration and transcription of this text is mainly based on the method of the introduction to Turcology by Muhammatrehim Sayit2004. Generally, etymological and linguistic notes and the differences between the TIEM73manuscript and two other manuscripts mentioned above are arranged after the transcription. the translation is namely based on the Turkic texts which I have transcripted, with help of Chinese translation of Kuran by Majian1996.3. Grammerin this chapter it provides the concise grammer of this text, which directly based on my own transcription. This grammar chaper includes four units. the first unit is about the graphimic features of this mauscript. the second unit provides detailed phonetic and phonemic features of this text. in the third unit it tells us the lexal features. the last unit decscribes the morphological features of this manuscript.4. glossarythe text is accompanied by a glossary, which includes Arabic and Persian copied words.In the end it comes with a biliography.
