It researches from the aspects of the characteristics system of Korean and Chinese affixes, setting criterion, catalog as well as the property of the words, semantics and structure of the linguistic affix derivates of the two languages according to the32Chinese prefix derivatives and49Chinese suffix derivatives which are universally acknowledged by the Chinese linguistics fields as well as the Chinese affixes which are based on the setting criterion of the Chinese affixes. It concludes the similarities and differences of affixes of Chinese characters between Chinese and Korean. The thesis is made up of four parts.Part one is the introduction part which mainly states the research objective, significance, composition, the characteristics of Chinese and Korean as well as research methodology.China and Korea always keep a good relation with each other since the ancient times with the influence of geography and history. And the Chinese characters are one of the three components of Korean words with native words and borrowed words. This chapter makes a statement of the research status of the affixes of Chinese and Korean and finds that the comparison of the affixes of Chinese and Korean still stays at the surface until nowadays. So in order to strengthen the education of Chinese and Korean words and promote the communication and development of the linguistics development between the two countries, the thesis makes a research from the angle of lexical category and uses the basic theories of lexical and morphology as the references through the literature retrieval and reviewing different research results as well as the ideas and contents which have reference value. Then it concludes the the affixes of Chinese characters between two languages after analyzing and concluding as follows:Firstly, the characteristics of the affixes of the Chinese characters in Korean:first, the number is larger; second, the affixes of the Chinese characters in Korean can connect a wide range with roots, having the stronger ability of creating words. Third, the affixes of the Chinese characters in Korean are not grammaticalized in terms of sense.Secondly, the characteristics of the affixes of Chinese vocabulary: first, the number is smaller; second, the position is stable and reliable; third, the affixes of the Chinese vocabulary in Korean are grammaticalized in terms of sense;fourth, the affixes of Chinese vocabulary has influence in the process of double syllable changing;fifth, the number of quasiaffix is larger.Chapter two makes a comparison between the prefix derivatives of Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese. This comparison includes setting criteria, catalog, the common using prefix derivatives of Chinese and Korean as well as the similarities and differences of the independent prefix derivatives of Chinese and Korean at the aspect of meaning and structure. At first, this chapter puts up with the setting criteria the prefixes of the Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese; The setting criteria of the prefixes of the Chinese characters in Korean:first, monosyllable;second, dependency;third, words creativity; fourth, the changing of the word roots; fifth, combination with native words and borrowed word to create new words. The setting criteria of the prefixes in Chinese:first, monosyllable; second, the stable of position; third, dependency; fourth, words creativity; fifth, the loss of the meaning flexibility. Secondly, the chapter makes a comparison of the prefixes derivatives between Chinese and Korean in meaning and structure and finds the similarities and differences between both sides.Firstly, the Chinese characters in Korean we researched are all from Chinese so prefix derivatives of Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese are almost the same with each other in meaning and structure. The differences are because of the meaning of prefixes of the Chinese characters. Secondly, the categories of the prefix derivatives in Korean are less than Chinese in structure while the numbers are more than Chinese affix derivatives. Thirdly, the prefixes of Chinese characters in Korean are mainly content words while the prefixes of Chinese characters in Chinese have both content words and function words. Fourth, the structure centers of the prefix derivatives in Korean are mainly at the right side while in Chinese the centers are both in the right side and left side.Chapter three mainly made a comparison between suffix derivatives of Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese. It mainly includes the common using suffix derivatives of Chinese and Korean as well as the similarities and differences of the independent suffix derivatives of Chinese and Korean at the aspect of meaning and structure. At first, this chapter puts up with the setting criteria the suffixes of the Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese; The setting criteria of the suffixes of the Chinese characters in Korean:first, monosyllable; second, words creativity; third, the loss of meaning flexibility; fourth, dependency; fifth, the changing of the word roots; The setting criteria of the suffixes in Chinese:first, the stable of position; second, dependency; third, the loss of the meaning flexibility; fourth, words creativity; fifth, he changing of the word roots;Secondly, the chapter makes a comparison of the suffixes derivatives between Chinese and Korean in meaning and structure and finds the similarities and differences between both sides. Firstly, the Chinese characters in Korean we researched are all from Chinese so prefix derivatives of Chinese characters in Korean and Chinese are almost the same with each other in meaning and structure. Only some suffixes in Chinese have differences. Secondly, the categories of the suffix derivatives in Korean are most derived nouns and the word class categories are less than suffix derivatives in Chinese. Thirdly, the word centers of the suffix derivatives in Korean are mainly at the right side while in Chinese the centers are both in the right side and left side. Fourthly, the suffixes of Chinese characters in Korean can not only connect with Chinese characters to create words but also can connect with native words and borrowed words. They have the strong ability to create words.Chapter four is the conclusion part. It mainly includes the characteristics, setting criteria, catalog of the affixes of Chinese characters in Chinese and Korean as well as the similarities and differences between the affix derivatives of Chinese characters in Chinese and Korean from the aspect of meaning and structure.
