Wenqi Thoery

This dissatation named On Wenqi attampts to grasp the essence of the Wenqi,such as philosophical foundation and personality,retorics and qualities and virtues of the writer as well as how it come into being.This paper focuses on the aspects of Thoery of Universe,Theory of Life and Theory of Art related theoratical background. Secondly,I illustrated the reasons why Theory of Wenqi concerns on the issue of human’s life through talking about writer’s life experience. Last, the paper studied the other categories derived from Wenqi Thoery and poined that the seemingly mass of Wenqi is not disorganization but the attemption of conprehensive thoughts of more than one writer.The philosophical foundation of Wenqi Thoery is Qi Theory which is the ontology of Wenqi. The Qi concept derived from the natual wind of nature. While human feel this natual wind and the ralation with it,they took it as a part of their flesh. This feeling was projected to many espect of human’s life so as to make chinese philosophy of Qi. This dissatation discussed the formation of Wenqi. On the primary stage of the combination of Wen and Qi, it was represented from judging people to judging Wenqi of the work. Then the content of Wenqi changed on creation and asthetic concept. At last this concept became mature. Writers aritstic style and asthetic concept developed into its form.The ontological meaning of Wenqi inclued the will of sage,the realm of life and representation of ideal of life. In the process of development of Wenqi, retoric is an important issue which has two values:one is the technique of classical poetics, the other is the Qi which reflected in the poems which is more crucial. This reflected the qualities and virtues of the writer. The style and and requirements of Wenqi is the theory of personality which is the representation of literature. Personality of the nature of literature which also means Caiqi.To draw a conclusion, this paper disscussed the peotic characters of Wenqi Theory, and defined if as the theory on life and life poetics. In this way, I reviewed the wenqi Theory overall. After the philosopy of Qi was found, classical theory began to illustrated it. Through the philosopy of Qi, the Wenqi theory was spround. In this way, it got its identity.From Thoery of wenqi to ontology, I attempted to grasp the renge of the writer with their works. The essence of Wenqi is to concern on human’s life nature as well as the relationship of human and qi and human’s hearts.
