Language is a carrier of human culture. In a larger sense, all art forms are regarded as language, while literary language, narrowly a written language in words used by human being, is the most rationalistic and the speculative language with a solid system which is able to analyze itself. As an art form, literature, which human beings use to receive and analyze information as the least sensed and the most concrete tool, is the medium of almost all human thought and spirit. Consuming more than 40% energy and covering most people’s living activities, architecture is a main part of economics and the biggest artificial creation seen as the grandest form of material culture. And a city consisting of various buildings has expanded the form beyond comparison. Buildings are places where people spend most of their life. Therefore, it is worth thought and study given to the existence of this grandest form of material culture, art form, other things people owned and its meaning to human being including its future development. With the recurrence of the art form of architecture to language and with the reduction of language to semiotics and grammar, the thesis has reviewed the rhetoric in semiotics. The rhetoric can be categorized into syntactical rhetoric and lexical rhetoric. The structural rhetoric includes repetition, parallelism, control and adjustment of the number of words and lines, and management of musical tones and rhymes and the semantic rhetoric refers to simile, metaphor, symbolization, reference, synaesthesia, and irony. And the latter also includes the rhetorical devices produced by mutual conversion of the signifier and the signified(reality and nihility, the abstract and the concrete, personification or depersonalization, materialization and changes of part of speech). The lexical rhetoric can be de facto interpreted in terms of mutual conversion of the signifier and the signified in semiotics. The paper constructs the most fundamental rhetoric using rhetorical devices in semiotics which in a broad sense can be applied to the art form of architecture and other art forms and analyzes dependence of symbols on senses and discusses the fact that senses are the foundation of symbols. And with separation of the sense of time and space from the senses, the study points out coordinates of constructing language and puts forward two language systems: time axis tandem language and space juxtaposed language. Among the common senses, the two language systems are mainly related with the perception manner of two major senses a man has. The sense-based languages bear their own limits, but they are interchangeable. In other words, languages can be partially translated and grafted, especially between architectural language and literary language; one is language of time and the other language of space. Therefore, the paper discusses the grafting, translating and reconstructing between the two languages and their necessity and principle and analyzes this hybrid expression of artistic effects to expand this principle and the rhetoric in semiotics together to the relationship among the various artistic languages. With discussion of the mentioned two issues, this paper, on the basis of senses, also discusses noumenon language of various artistic languages, which is the central part that other languages can not translate and replace. And it focuses on the discussion that the noumenon language of architecture is space and form, and it proceeds to clarify the relationship between space and form so as to find the same foundation and characteristics in the geometric sense for form and space. So it defines the architectural space as a virtual form and holds that the body of written language is concept. The paper reveals the principle and possibility of the extension and narration of architectural language to the time axis language and also discusses the possibility of conceptualization and even poetical dramatization of architecture. This paper further discusses that the architecture borrows the methods and principals of written language, such as grafting, translating, paraphrasing, and dramatic reconstructing etc, and that literary language, as a natural carrier concept and a thinking noumenon language, is actually an inherent language of all the arts of language. Meanwhile, the article discusses interlink between the mathematical model of the musical language and architectural language in the axis of the symbol sequence, and its sameness in mathematical foundation. Therefore, it is concluded that musicality is an inherent property of various artistic languages. And this paper proposes the concept of internal language. From the perspective of culture and aesthetics, form and space seems to be the main area of architectural aesthetics. As a comprehensive art, architecture can mix many ordinary language and its ontology language,Besides, it can use the external environment and create scenarios, thus Architecture has potential and broad possibilities and space of poetic expression. This paper emphasizes that for the owners and users of the building it has a dual function and properties of language. For others, the building is just the language for non-users, Based on statistics, we can find that most of those countless buildings which we have seen and was forced to see are gone through and reviewed from the outside. With transportation and urbanization, the phenomenon increasingly strengthened. When it comes to the two properties of function and language, the vast majority of people focus on architectural language forced upon them, which is irrelevant to them. If the analysis was more insightful, maybe the language implies the class nature. Political, racial, gender, class attributes, both have their presence in the language subset, and conducts an open or hidden statement and speech. As a language, architecture has always functioned in this way all the time.
