Li Zehou’s theory of Psychological Ontology is the core of his middle and later periods of thought. As the intermediate point of the whole idea of Li Zehou, it turns connection in the "Tools ontology" and "Emotion ontology". And it makes his philosophy, aesthetics, traditional multiculturalism linking fusion, which becomes mutual build mutual structure as a whole. But the research on the theory of Psychological Ontology, especially on the relationship with Li Zehou’s whole thought, is still blank with large exploring space. This paper is concerned with Li Zehou’s Psychological Ontology theory.As a breakthrough point, to investigate the development of Li’s middle and later periods of philosophy, aesthetics, and the traditional culture. To the direction of psychological ontology, the core point of Li’ middle and later theories transferred frqm the external, objective, origin of the Tool Ontology to the inner, emotional, individual of the Emotion Ontology. Its essence is a concern about human’s survival circumstances, the life meaning and value belief in the perspective of modernity. Particularly Li Zehou interpreted the modernity of Chinese traditional culture on the western theoretical resources. This is not only to explore the modern value of Chinese traditional culture, but also to build the China Vision and which could propose the modern people to settle down emotional and belief realm.The first chapter is the introduction, which is divided into three sections. There are the research background and significance of the topic, Literature review, Innovation points and research methods of the paper.The second chapter focuses on the interpretation of the related concept and the construction of Li’s theory of Psychological Ontology. It mainly solves its connotation, significance, characteristics, and combing the development path and reason. The chapter is divided into four sections. The first section explains the western philosophy of ontology and ontology meaning through the analysis of the traditional ontology and modern ontology. The second section explains the concept of the Psychological Ontology, which focuses on the meaning, the formation and the significance of ontology. The third section discusses the theoretical characteristics of Li’s theory of Psychological Ontology. including duality, development, modern and indigenous. The fourth section comments the philosophy history of the formation of Li’s theory of Psychological Ontology by the external construction. And it also analyses the reason of the formation.The third chapter focuses on Li’s theory of Psychological Ontology and the Philosophy development of his middle and later periods. The chapter is divided into three sections. The first section discusses how to construct the philosophy of Psychological Ontology theory from the overall construction of Philosophy Perspective, including the philosophical basis from practice ontology conversion to human body, the implementation of humanization of nature, the steering group subjectivity to individual subjectivity. The second section discusses the new development of Li Zehou’s philosophy based on the Psychological Ontology theory, including the reinterpretation of the Practice theory, Double Ontology, Accumulation, Humanization of Nature theory, Emotion Ontology, the Absorption of non rational. The third section discusses the three turns in Li Zehou’s Philosophy with the clue of the development of Psychological Ontology. The first time is from Marx to Kant. The second is from Heidegger to Chinese traditional philosophy. The third is from the Chinese traditional culture back to Kant. I Zehou’s philosophical construction is like the painting of a great circle, and Kant is his starting point, but also his end.The fourth chapter focuses on the change and development of Li Zehou’s later aesthetic which is caused by the Psychological Ontology. The first section discusses Li Zehou’s new aesthetic called Historical anthropology Ontology and its changes based on the Psychological Ontology. There are four new theories including new sensibility, the equation of Aesthetic psychology, the idea that beauty is just, the degree of Harmony between Man and Nature. These new concepts show a wider field of aesthetic research. The third section explains the aesthetic meaning, which is in the establishment of the people’s survival value and spiritual home of religious significance. Li Zehou interprets that Aesthetics is the top philosophy in three aspects. Aesthetic is to guide the understanding. Aesthetic is to establish the moral. Aesthetic is to establish the meaning of life. All these are the modern significance of Aesthetic.The fifth chapter focuses on Li Zehou’s Psychological Ontology theory and the modern transformation of Chinese traditional culture. The chapter is divided into three sections. The first section outlines that Li Zehou interpreted the modernity of Chinese traditional culture on the basis of his Philosophy of Psychological Ontology. The founder of Confucianism in fourth stages completes a kind of the modern creation of Chinese traditional culture. The second section discusses Wu’s History and Tradition which is Li Zehou’s groundbreaking discovery in Chinese traditional culture. Optimistic Culture and Practical Rationality which come from Wu’s Tradition are the Chinese resources for Li Zehou’s Psychological Ontology theory. The third section discusses the creative transformation and the construction of Chinese traditional culture. This is also the mutual construction process between the traditional culture and Li’s philosophy theory. There are three aspects. First, Li discovered Chinese emotional characteristics which supple to the western modern philosophy. Second, Li established Two Kinds of Moral.Third, he reinterpreted the traditional Harmony. In the framework of Historical Anthropology Ontology, Li’s modern interpretation of Chinese traditional culture and Chinese wisdom will establish survival of metaphysical and spiritual home to settle down. The way which Li has done has the practical significance for us.The conclusion part is the extension of the full text, and puts forward the thinking of the construction of Chinese cultural modernity, which is constructed by Li Zehou’s thought system.
