Russian postmodernist literature has distinct national characteristics. This is reflected in two aspects. On the one hand, Russian postmodernist literature was born in Soviet’s special political and cultural environment, and it stood on the opposite of socialist realism literature against the Soviet’s official ideology. Therefore, Russian postmodernist literature existed as "Underground literature", "Another literature" for a long time. On the other hand, Russian postmodernist literature inherits the spiritual tradition of Russian national culture. After the collapse of the Soviet union, leading seniors’ criticism about totalitarian discourse into national culture field, contemporary Russian postmodernist literature deconstructs the logos centralism of Russian culture, tries to reconstruct the Russia national spirit, which will be able to accommodate personalized, diversified truth centers.Orthodoxy and community constitute the key elements of Russian national spirit.Among them, Orthodoxy especially is the ontological basis of Russian national spirit. At the same time, ethnocentrism is also the constituent element of Russian national cultural psychology. This paradox of Russian nationality can be covered in the idea“Holy Rus”, whose dual attribute is vividly embodied in Russian literary divine and nationalistic narrative tradition. The Russianness of Russian postmodernist literature finds its expression in inheritance of Russian literary spiritual tradition with a playful, profanatory appearance. Basically, Russian postmodernist writers don’t try to subvert the core value system of Russian national spirit, but the discourse-power system which accompanied with it.The crisis of contemporary Russian national spirit is embodied in the loss of spiritual tradition and the emergence of nationalist trend. Russian Postmodern writers V.Sorokin, V. Pelevin and V. Makanin are the important individuality centers of literary creation in contemporary postmodern cultural context. V. Sorokin’s postmodernist writing aims to deconstruct the imperialism myth in the divine tradition of Russian literature;V. Makanin in his "synthetic" writing makes a deep thought to the idea“Holy Rus ” and the chaotic state of the contemporary Russian national spirit; V. Pelevinconstructs a unique doctrine of salvation for Russia national spirit, which drops in a dilemma caused by cultural transformation, on the basis of “illusory space” poetics and "vanity" aesthetics. Although all of them think over the crisis of contemporary Russian national spirit from different angles, but there is no doubt that in their postmodern writing is critically inherited the Russian literature spirituality.
