"Line" is one of the most common methods for performance of traditional Chinese figure painting, it also is the fulcrum in Chinese painting, Chinese painting is one of the most basic means of an expression. The choice of the topic of today’s society people for traditional Chinese painting line drawings painting gradually forgotten, even reach the level of the increasingly weak. In such a social background, sparked my thinking on some problems in Chinese figure painting, reviewing the development of Chinese art history in the process of "line" in the Chinese painting art of the development of applications, especially in the overall development of Chinese figure painting plays an important role. In today’s society, many art forms and all sorts of diverse ideas, rapid development of digital image technology and the changing media materials, and a variety of performance techniques of Chinese figure painting line model language has had a profound effect.This paper mainly discussed from five aspects, first, the line of Chinese figure painting art has a long history, starting from the primitive society, until now, and widely circulated, its development has a long evolution process. Second, this paper discusses the "line" in the history of Chinese painting. Third, the "line" of Chinese figure painting vividly expresses also shows its unique charm, painting the line itself is a way of emotional expression, both "conscious expression". Through the study of artistic expression in the midline in the area of the Chinese figure painting, presents the works to reflect the appeal of vivid, lively; "Line" in Chinese figure painting art is divided into four parts to discuss, respectively is the line of the style of the diversity of emotions, line, line, and line pen; The charm of lines, the first is the line of the beauty of artistic conception, the second is the beauty of the image of a line, the third is the line of black and white and the beauty of rhythm.
