Culture industry is a new industry which has dual attributes of culture and industry, and has achieved remarkable economic and social benefits in some leading countries. Since twenty-first Century, under the leadership of the government and policy support, Chinese cultural industry has get rapid development. Small and micro cultural enterprises as the main production and operation of the cultural industry, has a large number of enterprises, the ability of absorbing employment, but the lack of economic contribution and weak operating capacity at this stage of our country. The existing literatures mainly discuss the external environmental problems such as policy, finance, and so on. It is rarely discussed from the perspective of the enterprise itself. From the observation of practice field, small and micro cultural enterprises pay more attention to the construction of business models to seek enterprise growth.The two research fields’growth of enterprise business model and constantly deepening, laid the foundation of this study, but researchers have different opinions with the business model constitute elements and morphology expression, which makes that the business model construct has not yet reached a consensus, value creation process and the key point is not clear. In recent years, some scholars combined the business model and the enterprise growth, to explore the influence of business model on firm growth, and business models in different phases of enterprise growth, but it is lack of necessary to identify the key components of the business model constitute elements which influence enterprise growth and functions playing, which limiting the guiding role of theory to enterprise practice.Based on the existing theoretical results, this research carry out research from two aspects of the relationship between business model and growth of small and micro cultural enterprises and the key factors affecting the growth of small and micro enterprises in the business model. The purpose of first part is to clarify the relationship between small and micro enterprise culture business model and enterprise development, to construct the conceptual model.In the second part, the objective is to recognize commercial pattern constitute elements playing a key role to small and micro enterprises and cultural growth. The purpose and content of the two studies are different, and the different research methods and ideas are adopted. Firstly, grounded theory research method is used to explore the relationship between business model and growth of small and micro cultural enterprises through theoretical sampling, data collection and coding analysis. The second part summarized the key constitute elements of business model which have important impact to the growth of small and micro enterprises through the comparative analysis of multiple cases.Cultural industry covers a wide range of industries and has various types of cultural enterprises. In order to meet the requirements of theoretical sampling applicability, feasibility and relevance, according to the new cultural industry classification standards released by the National Bureau of statistics, this research determines four typical "content" as the research scope, such as the radio and television film services, arts and cultural services, cultural and creative design services arts and crafts, the cultural production and operation of the type of cultural industries, and chooses 4 strong growth small and micro enterprise culture as the research sample, to study relationship between business model and enterprise growth. In order to analyze and summed up influence factors of the business model constituted elements on enterprise growth, the research takes study sample analysis with four weak growth of small and micro cultural enterprises and four large and medium-sized enterprises with different growth to do multi case comparison research.First part of this study constructs the comprehensive model of small and micro cultural enterprise business model and growth relationship in accordance with the "data-conception-category-model" grounded theory research logic, respectively establishing the business model concept model in accordance with the different characteristics of start-up period, growing period, mature period and puts forward five theory proposition. This study argues that there are a co-evolution between small and micro cultural enterprise business model and the enterprise growth, enterprise growth is a process with business model elements continue to adjust, rich, reconstruction and tend to structural integrity and adapting to the enterprises developmental needs and promoting the growth of enterprises through the enterprise internal product structure, organization structure and management system reform, and across organizational boundaries to construct social networks relationship. Along with the change of business objects, business processes and business performance, small and micro cultural enterprise business model constitute elements through the internal and external, internal and external both transferred three times from the start-up period, growing period to mature period, the business model structure goes through three kinds of evolution like value chain, value network and ecological. Business model of start-up small and micro cultural enterprise is the value chain structure, logical starting point of the business object is business opportunities, business process mainly consists of the related elements of product positioning and development, organization design, management system, the allocation of human resources within the enterprise to form the value chain, profit and market, customer and brand cultivation are commercial performance goals. Growing small and micro cultural enterprise business model is the network structure of value, to meet customer demand for business objects, business process changing from simple constructing enterprise internal value chain to the external value network construction, with more diversified business performance goals and paying attention to social value and channel management. Mature period’s small and micro enterprise culture business model is the ecological structure, taking customer value as business objects, business process is interactive cycle of enterprise and external stakeholders and customer value, business performance is third parties taking what they need, and forming the coexistence of business ecosystem. The growth evaluation of small and micro cultural enterprises include four quality indicators like clear long-term strategic objectives, formation star brand, achievement of both economic and social benefits, the core resources and core competence in addition to finance and scale.Second part of this study firstly makes inter group case analysis with four weak growth small and micro cultural enterprise, analysis the relationship between the business model constitute factors and enterprises growth. Secondly, this part divides the small and micro cultural enterprise business model elements into the core elements and the basic elements through group case analysis of the growth intensity of different business. Thirdly, through comparative case analysis of large and medium-sized cultural enterprise and small and micro cultural enterprise, this part summed up business model constituent elements playing key influence function on the small and micro growth. This part discusses the relationship between the business model constitute factors of micro and small cultural enterprise and enterprises growth, to verify the conceptual model and the theoretical proposition, dividing 23 small and micro cultural enterprise business model elements into three levels including four key elements, five core elements,14 basic element, and putting forward three groups theoretical propositions. This study believes business model constitute elements missing does not affect the growth of the enterprise during the start-up period, but it will influence enterprise growth space if enterprise can’t establish a complete business model during growth process. Business model basic elements of small and micro cultural enterprise include business opportunities, product positioning and development, organization design, management system, human resources allocation, external resources integration, social network, profit and social value. Business model core elements of distinguish small and micro cultural enterprise growth include customer demand, strategic partner, channel, market, customer, brand. Business model of small and micro cultural enterprise with strong growth is similar to large-scale cultural enterprises with good performance, the key constitute elements include leadership upgrade, customer value, strategic partners, business ecosystem.The main innovation of this study is to introduce the existing business model research and enterprise growth theory to test in specific situation of small and micro enterprise culture the enterprise group, which enriches and develops the theory. According to the characteristics of small and micro cultural enterprises to construct comprehensive model of the relationship between the business model and the enterprise growth, and expression model in different growth stages, to investigate the phenomenon, characteristics and connotation of the business model evolution and the growth of enterprises, which is an important attempt in the business model research. The research put forwards evaluation criteria of small and micro cultural enterprise growth from a business model perspective, which have contributed to a more comprehensive understanding the connotation of enterprise growth, guidance a new direction for new enterprises growth. Studying on the identification of critical components in commercial pattern constitute elements to small and micro cultural enterprises growth, analyzing the influence of key factors to enterprises growth, providing beneficial supplement for research on enterprises growth driving force.
