Chen Yun was an important central collective leadership member of Mao Zedong as the core of the first generation and Deng Xiaoping as the core of the second generation. During his over70years’ revolutionary career, he always kept an eye to ordinary people’s daily life and always took care of ordinary people’s happiness and sorrow, modest and pragmatic, frank and outspoken, selfless, and always adhere to the principle of truth, always respected discipline. With a noble personality style and unusual energy, ability and wisdom in the field of finance, politics, military, cultural and other fields, he had made outstanding contributions.Chen Yun won the whole party, the army and the people’s respect and affection.In this paper, guided by the materialist conception of history and Marx’s practice view as the instruction, it initially used the combined method of macroscopic view and microscopic analysis, history, theory and reality, the life and thought.And then it discussed some basic issues of Chen Yun’s ideas of ideological and political education in the field of theory and practice.Chen yun’s thought of ideological and political education was the product of his70years’revolution construction,reform practice. During his career practice, he always attached great importance to the party’s IPE, and always creatively carried out the activities. Chen Yun’s IPE had a deep feature imprint of social historical background and significant feature representation, which record every drop of China’s development. From the point of course development, Chen Yun’s thought of IPE could be roughly divided into four periods. Campaign workers movements in1925to the Anti-Japanese War broke-out was the sprouting period. The time of the Anti-Japanese War and the liberation war was the formation period. From the founding of new China to the party’s Third Plenary Session of the eleven was the period of development. After that, Chen yun’s thought of IPE gradually turned mature. From the perfective of theory source, Chen Yun’s theory of IPE originated from Chinese traditional culture criticism and inheritance. On the other hand, Chen Yun’s thought of IPE benefitted from his theory of conscious learning and use of Marx. Chen Yun’s thought of IPE embodied a concentrated reflection of him in the different historical period of the party’s ideological and political education status and the function, content, principle, method, moving mechanism. Chen Yun’s thought of IPE in the field of practice was mainly manifested in the field of party, the United Front, the army, enterprises, rural and financial area.Overall, Chen Yun’s theory of IPE through to the end of a line was public feelings, an attitude of pragmatic, a style was democracy and decent, a core was the power of personality. His thought of IPE, which was the IPE theory and practice of Mao Zedong’s inheritance and development to the party, was the important constituent of the whole theory, Today Chen Yun’s thought of IPE still had important guiding significance and reference value.
