The ups and downs of culture, related to the survival of the nation. In all kinds of national security, cultural security’s status is absolutely cannot be ignored, it has a great influence for a nation’s survival and development, and plays an irreplaceable role which cannot be replaced by economic security, political security and military security, and it has the profound significance. Cultural security refers to the objective state of the main culture’s survival and development is not threatened, contains the ideology security, national culture security, and cultural development three main contents. As the mentor of proletarian revolution, Lenin has a positive thinking and exploration on the maintenance of cultural security in the process of leading the Russian Revolution and construction. Analysis and probing into Lenin’s thoughts of cultural security, and making a systematic induction and combing, all of these undoubtedly has a very important significance on currently maintaining Chinese cultural security.This article should be conceived on the combination of history, theory and reality. The full text is divided into four parts:the first part is the introduction, the prerequisite questions of this research will be discussed, and it lays the foundation of theoretical analysis. The third part focuses on the perspective of theoretical analysis, from the three main contents of cultural security contains, and explore the logical structure of Lenin cultural security thought, combing the main contents of Lenin’s cultural security thought.This part constitutes the second to the fourth chapter. The fourth part focuses on the practical point of Chinese cultural security, explore a certain regularity of socialism socialist countries, especially the least developed countries and cultural security practices, to derive the significance in theory and practice of the Leninist ideology to the maintenance of contemporary Chinese culture safety. This part constitutes the Chapter V of this article. The last part is the conclusion, summarizes the whole paper, and points out the academic space of further research on Lenin’s thought of culture securityThe first chapter of this paper discusses the formation and development of Lenin’s thought of culture security. The thought of Marx and Engels about culture security and related thoughts of Russian nationalists constitute the ideological background of formation of Lenin’s thought of culture security. Lenin thought of culture security is to deal with the problem and the changes of the fields of thought during the Russian imperialism, especially Challenges facing the proletarian ideology safety and the existence of backward cultural factors inherent in the reality of Russia, which constitute the realistic background of formation of Lenin’s thought of culture security. Lenin’s own strong cultural awareness is subjective condition of Lenin’s thoughts of cultural security.
