Research On Marx And Engels’ Women’s Theory And Its Contemporary Development In China

The formation and development of Women’s theory of Marx and Engels is consistent with the formation and development of Marxism. During the mid-nineteenth century, the development of capitalist economy, the strengthening of internal contradictions of capitalism, the upsurge of the European women’s revolution provided the formation of women’s theory of Marx and Engels with objective conditions. So we hold that their women’s theory is the product of the modern proletariat revolution and the women’s liberation movements. During the process of creation of Marxism, Marx and Engels used the basic principles of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, critically absorbed the women’s theories of French utopian socialists and the achievements of the bourgeoisie anthropology, and formed their scientific women’s theory in the end. The women’s theory of Marx and Engels mainly involved: the role of women in society, the formation of women’s oppressed status, the dimension of women’s oppression, the level and target of the women’s liberation, the conditions and ways of the women’s liberation, etc.The women’s theory of Marx and Engels came to China around the period of Xinhai Revolution, spread greatly at the May 4th Cultural Movement period, and was established in the end in China at the second national congress of the communist party of China which released a resolution concerning women’s movements. From then on, the communist party of China applied this theory to the women’s issues of China, and makes Chinese women’s careers progress. From the view of dimension of time and space, the development of this theory in contemporary China has typical significance. As an important part of Marxist theory, the development of the women’s theory of Marx and Engels plays an important role in the history of Marxism. From the view of Marxism, studying the development issues of this theory in today’s circumstances has theoretical significance and practical value.This paper mainly adopts the following research methods: 1.
