Historical Study On Revolutionary Morality Construction In The Period Of New-democratic Revolution

After the opium war in 1840, China appeared ?the change that had never been for thousands of years?, with the Confucian ?Three cardinal guides and the five permanent members? as the core of Chinese traditional values and ethics system come to a crisis in the face of severe challenges western civilization. This crisis accompanied by significant historical events in modern society, step by step to deepen and eventually appeared collapse in the May Fourth Movement. A developing nation cannot occur in a vacuum value of faith and morals, and morality construction must be carried out to make the nation out of the crisis. New-democratic revolution leadership by Chinese Communist Party, was not only carried out the institutional revolution, but also reconstructed the ethical order in the critical moment of Chinese nation finding the meaning of the world. But the revolutionary moral construction made by Communists during the period of the new democratic revolution had not got enough attention by academia for a long time. Although the research about the ?revolutionary morality? presented in the ethics of the profession, but systemic and in-depth specialized researches in the period of new democratic revolution are still rare. The paper reference to lots of relevant academic research results, which focuses on revolutionary morality construction based on careful reading of the original documents, and make a more systematic analyses in the formation of the traditional moral crisis and its source, the Chinese Communist Party moral connotation and reconstruction process, and the experience and impacts. The paper argues that the problem of moral construction has been accompanied by the contemporary social transformation, but the countrymen have undergone a long process to acknowledge it. Among them, the peasant class and the bourgeoisie had also some consciously and unconsciously thinking, but the Chinese communist party had eventually initiated political revolution which required the consciousness of ethical evolution and then formed a moral construction mode from idea aspect to practice aspect. The paper further thinks that the period of New Democratic Revolution is an important period in forming the revolutionary morality. In this period Communist Party cultivated the communist ideal and belief, established a new ethical relationship, developed the morality principles of collectivism and themorality core of serving the people, and established the patriotic values of ?four in one? and innovated ethical governance successfully. Every aspect in revolutionary morality construction was tightly according to the practice of struggle with the new democratic revolution and formed the unique history of Evolution that matched the revolutionary tasks. Combing careful and prudent this period of history, one mainline clearly presented: on the one hand, serving armed struggle by moral construction and protecting the moral construction by armed struggle on the other hand, and revolution and construction enhanced each other’s beauty. Not only did they occupy the commanding point of revolution, but also the morality high ground.
