The21century witnesses the great social reform and economic boom, at the same time college students demonstrate their ideologies marked with distinct characteristics of the era and behave themselves in untraditional ways, which makes it quite an emergency and a focus in ideological and political education field to probe into current college students and establish corresponding strategies for their development.College students in the new historical period are expected to live up to higher anticipation, while the rapid growth of both economy and society offers more opportunities for their progress. Our social reform has given birth to new characteristics of college students which urge our reestablishment of training programs base on the Marxism Theories on human’s nature and human’s fully development, the laws of human’s moral and ideological process and the methodologies of ideological-political education.Present research reveals that the21century college students show several external characteristics such as strong national feelings, sense of opening, definite appeal of equality, cheerfulness, emotional attitude towards life and ambition, prominent personalities and traits, desire of self-expression, etc.; while in regards to internal characteristics, there are combinations of national identity and self-identity, individualism and collectivism, pursuit of ambitions and puzzle of value orientation, material desire and spiritual enjoyment inside their mind.On the ground of deep analysis of above investigation, we hold that we should expand and enrich our education projects for college students as follows:In life-view education, we should especially focus on the expansion education of life value, happiness value and justice&benefit value; in the introduction of self-education, we should guide our students to strengthen their sense of self-consciousness, self-discipline, self-demonstration and self-assessment; in experimental education, we should attach more importance to the indoctrination of behavior-experience, inner-experience and innovation-experience.We should go all out to open new approaches for college students’ talent training, firmly carry out combined implement of regular management and humanistic care, social education and self-education, theoretic direction and experimental development, realistic education and virtual education.We should explore new carriers with all force to promote our talent education, not only new types of microblog and modern advanced network should be designed, but also text platform needs to be improved.We should establish and develop original mechanisms for our college students’talent education, among which there must be a harmonious interaction between colleges and society, a communicative cooperation between colleges and parents, and a humanistic comprehensive prosperity within the whole society. In this way we can achieve long acting mechanisms for the21century college students’ talent education which links every aspect closely to each other and organizes all sides rationally.
