Modern agriculture is a diversified industry pattern and a multifunctional industrial system, which characterized by seamlessly connection among agriculture, industry and trade and integration of production, processing and selling. It makes modern industry development ideas as guidance, takes promotion of transforming agricultural growth pattern and sustainable development of agriculture as goals, uses modern scientific techniques, equipment and management tools as method, sets enhancement of labor and resources productivity and rate of marketable farm produce as development direction. Propelling construction of modern agriculture is a basic approach to enhance farmers’income and an important measure to enhance comprehensive productive capacity. Also, it is an industrial foundation to build new socialist countryside.Development of modern agriculture needs support from high-quality human capital, which considered as endogenous variable of modern agriculture development and the foundation of transforming traditional agriculture, practically changing agricultural development pattern and ensuring the development of modern agriculture. Therefore, as the important source and carrier of agricultural high-quality human capital, agriculture and forestry graduates play an irreplaceable role in modern agriculture development. However, the phenomenon, a problem as well, that most agriculture and forestry graduates do not work in agriculture-related field is ubiquitous because of multi-factors such as environment, industrial development, policy, education, employment service, income, personal factors and career development. These factors influence employment quality of the graduates and postpone the process of modern agriculture development. Effective driving mechanism and docking measures for avoidance of influence of these factors are imminently needed to lead and encourage agriculture and forestry graduates servicing modern agriculture.For this purpose, after reviewing related researches and practices both in and abroad, with the guidance of theories including modern agriculture, human capital, institutional change and human resource regurgitati on-feeding, for the current situation and problems of agriculture and forestry graduates servicing modern agriculture, the thesis raised driving mechanism and docking measures for agriculture and forestry graduates servicing modern agriculture, using empirical analysis of impacts of the graduates on agriculture, requirements analysis of modern agriculture to the graduates and empirical analysis of influential factors of the graduates servicing modern agriculture. The thesis was committed to integrate co-optation of the graduates into modern agriculture and orderly flow of the graduates from universities to modern agriculture practice. Meanwhile, the thesis discussed how to make the graduates participate in agriculture, put what they learn into practice and keep working in the field of modern agriculture. This could provide modern agriculture with talent and intelligence support and develop modern agriculture from the angle of human capital.Thesis has 4 parts including 8 chapters.Introduction and theoretical foundations were included in part 1. In the introduction part, the thesis raised two common points on research and practices in and abroad. One is positive effect to agricultural economical increase in the aspects of education, technological advance, human capital, and agriculture and forestry graduates. The other is that power from the government and help from related policies to impel the graduates to service modern agriculture are necessary. The theoretical foundations chapter defined basic concepts, including modern agriculture, human capital and definition of servicing. The thesis constructed a theoretical platform by analyzing transforming traditional agriculture theory, human capital theory, new economical increase theory, institutional change theory and human resource regurgitation-feeding theory.In chapter 3, the second part of the thesis, the thesis raised problems which should be solved. Basic situation of agriculture and forestry universities and colleges was analyzed.Employment data investigations were performed on agriculture and forestry graduates who service modern agriculture and were analyzed. Knowledge, ability and quality of the graduates were analyzed from the aspect of theory and practice. Grassroots projects path, market path and entrepreneurial path were also analyzed. During the procedure of the graduates servicing modern agriculture, the thesis found out the following problems, employment number cannot meet the requirements of modern agriculture, unwillingness to be employed by rural grass-root position, lack of knowledge, ability and quality for servicing modern agriculture and constrained service path.The thesis described the analytical procedure from chapter 4-6, part 3. We analyzed the impact of agriculture and forestry graduates on modern agriculture in the aspects of agriculture science and technology, agriculture production, agriculture operating management. C-D productivity function, solow residual value method and multivariate regression analysis were performed for empirical test. Results indicated that agriculture and forestry graduates have significant positive influence on progress of agricultural technology. Then requirements of modern agriculture to the graduates were analyzed in two levels, one is hierarchy of requirements and the other is type of requirements. The former includes agriculture scientific and technological personnel and rural practical personnel, the latter includes Agriculture scientific research personnel, agricultural technology extension personnel, rural production personnel, rural operating personnel and rural technical servicing personnel. After that, we used analytic hierarchy process and binary logistic regression model for empirical analysis of influential factors of agriculture and forestry graduates servicing modern agriculture, from aspect of experts and the graduates.The thesis solved the problems mentioned above in chapter 7 and 8, Part 4. Based on driving principle of the graduates servicing modern agriculture, the thesis analyzed driving factors such as government, environment, organization and individual. Then the thesis established driving system of the graduates servicing modern agriculture and its mechanism of action was analyzed. With complementary of inductive institutional change and mandatory institutional change, together with combination of market mechanism and government function, the thesis raised docking measures for the graduates servicing modern agriculture from four aspects including accelerating the development of modern agriculture, strengthening talents cultivation of agriculture and forestry graduates, improving agriculture-related field employment servicing level of the graduates and reinforcing agriculture-related field employment arrangement of agriculture and forestry graduates.
