In this paper, the Yalu River region is the area in the north bank of Yalu River in China. The region was said to be Dongbianwai in Qing Dynasty because of drawnning as the area of the Wicker Outside. The land was located at east of Shengjing by the gates of willow fence. Here, reffer to four: Fenghuangcheng, Aiyang, Jianchang, Wangqing. The Yalu River region is located from the southwest part of Changbai Mountain to the southeast part o Fengtian. It includes Andong, Fenghuangzhili, Kuandian, Huairen, Tonghua, Ji’an, and Linjiang, Changbai countries. From Qing Regime entered Shanhaiguan Pass to Guangxu period(1876), this area was orbidden for more 200 years as one part in the ground of Manchu ancestor’ region o dragon arising.This paper’s research object is the immigrants and their life in the Yalu River region from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China in the year 1644 to 1931. This paper analyzes the government restricted and promoted the migration through the different periods of immigrant process, studies Han and Korean immigrants who explored migration and made a living in this area and their important role in the socio-economic, political, cultural, educational and other plays. Based on this, the full text is divided into following parts.Introduction, mainly on the significance of this research topic, describes the history and current situation of study on immigration in the Yalu River region at home and abroad, indicates the main issues which will be solved by this paper.The first part divides into two chapters. The first chapter reviews the process of the immigrants here thrived and promoted social development from primitive society to Ming Dynasty. And overview of the migration during Ming Dynasty, mainly analyzes the immigrant community of Jurchen as the main constituent of population and its impact. The second chapter is to describe the immigration during Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong period in the year of 1644 to 1795. The Government forbidded anyone to explore the Manchuira, Chinese and Korean immigrants sneaked into the Yalu River region and their effort in developing the frontier. The second part is to discusses that during the Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng and Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty in the year of 1796 to 1874. In this period, the Qing government gradually relaxed the ban because of the trouble from the inside and the outside. Then analyzes the reason that Korean migrants’ influx into the Yalu River region. By using "Jiangbei Diary" as one historical materials, this paper trials the economic life, social organization, population structure, distribution and other characteristics of the Korean immigrant community on the north shore of Yalu River. The third part is to discusses that before the Mukden Incident of period in the year of 1875 to 1931. Chapter one, China migrants’ influx into the Yalu River region, since the government’s immigration policy, Land Reclamation and political landscape of the region occurred the profound changes in this valley. Chapter two, discusses that Korea was occupied by Japan after the Sino-Japanese War, the Yalu River become crowded field even terraced rice paddies, thriving business district, immigration contributed to the development of the main force. Chapter three, discussion flourished agriculture, industry, commerce, education and industrial sectors, as well as multicultural development. The rise of cities and towns have done, social development of the region’s past and present influence and inspiration.In summary, migration and development activities move into a strong impetus to the development of the local community at all levels, which has far-reaching historical significance.
