Research On The Cultivation And Practice Of College Students’ Socialist Core Value

Socialist core values are spiritual support and motivation to guide the value concept of whole nation. It can also help us to improve and complete the development of Chinese characteristic socialist cause, theory and system. The cultivation and practice of socialist core value meet the demand of the development of times. At present, the college students have some knowledge of the socialist core values, but the degree of cognition is not deep, and there are obvious individual differences in cognitive aspects of socialist core values, which also affects their recognition and practice of the socialist core values. As the successors to the Chinese characteristic socialist cause in the future, college students should set an example for others in the cultivation and practice of socialist core value. Therefore, General Office of the Communist Party of China and General Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China printed “Advice on further strengthening and improving college propaganda and ideological work under the new situation”(hereafter referred to as “Advice”)Before the cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value, we should carry on the thorough research on the connotation and essential attribute of socialist core value. The relationship between socialist core value and Chinese traditional culture or western civilization should be defined clearly. We also need to clarify the theoretical basis and basic thought and make the realistic difficulties in the cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value clean on the basis of empirical investigation so as to find an effective way to cultivate and practise the socialist core values of Chinese college students.Following this line of thought, the paper has also made overall and deep analysis of the cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value, mainly from literature’s discussion and summarization, comprehensive theoretical research and empirical analysis.After defining the connotation of socialist core value, the paper compares the relationship between socialist core value and Chinese traditional culture with it and western civilization in length and breadth. It also analyzes the theoretical foundation of cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value with the theory of comprehensive method. Based on the international and domestic environment, the paper analyzes the realistic basis of cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value as well. Then, the paper carries on the empirical research which is a comparative analysis of the current status of the cultivation and practice of the college students’ socialist core value to 3300 college students in 15 colleges and universities in the form of questionnaire. Summarizing the basic thoughts about cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value from Four Footholds, the paper finally puts forward concrete measures for cultivation and practice.The study result shows that college students’ awareness of socialist core values is better, but recognition needs to be deepened, practice efforts need to be improved. And college students have certain individual differences in aspects of cognition, identity and practice.Under the realistic background, cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core value should be based on worldly affairs, national conditions, inheritance and innovation of the Chinese excellent traditional culture, critique absorption excellent foreign cultures, development features and phase characteristics of colleges, full use of new media technology.The values education strategy is as follows: First of all, the internalization of cultivation must be strengthened. That is to say: The main channel function of ideological and political course in the cultivation of values must be played;From "text" to the combination of "text" and "man oriented", the ideological and political education idea must be gradually established;The innovation of "human" in the ideological and political course m ust be carried on. Secondly, the implanted cultivation also should be strengthened. That is, from the "main channel to cultivate" to "the full range of embedded guide" to expand the path. Third, we have to improve the outside practice gradually realizing the transformation from "theory" to "Daily".The fourth is the implementation of consensus driven. That is to gradually realize the power transformation from the "passive acceptance" to "conscious pursuit" of college students to arouse the consciousness of the new power of cultivation and practice of college students’ socialist core values.
