Research On The Relationship Of Chinese Herbal Medicine Industrial Organizition Modes And There Performance

As the tide of humanity back to nature and human disease spectrum changes, Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has great potential and unique advantages, TCM industry has a bright future. Chinese Herbal Medicines for primary processing (CHMPP) is the key node in the industrial chains and it is important of promoting Chinese Herbal Medicines (CHM) industrialization. But as a whole, the TCM agriculture and CHMPP in the TCM industry chains are relatively backward. CHMPP industry has a character of highly depending on stable supplying of resources, based on this, the organization cooperation relations between CHMPP enterprises and upstream suppliers (CHM industry organization mode)will have a significant impact on enterprise organizational performance. Thus it is so important to study on theirs relation.There are such many research fruits about study areas of TCM development, agriculture industrial organization mode and its relationship with organization performance. By view of these researches, it is no hard to find following problems:Firstly, the study focused on TCM industry in the following research areas:the study on the TCM whole industrial development and competitiveness; the study on TCM modernization, standardization and internationalization; the study on TCM development in regional. But it is less about TCM from the perspective of industry chains and Industrial Organization model, Even if there stays in the qualitative analysis and case studies. Secondly, research on organization performance, more focus on the efficiency of the industry chains, less on organization performance of the different industrial organization mode from two perspectives of efficiency and result. Finally, research on the choice of industrial organization mode is mainly based on farmer’s point of view, seldom based on enterprise’s perspective. Based on the above analysis, what relationships between the CHM industry organization mode and CHMPP enterprise’s organization performance on earth? Can we constructing a theory model to explain and tire the inner logical relation between them? Can we find out any influence mechanism and path? Last but not least, to find out influence factors of CHM industrial organization mode choice.For this aim, from enterprise’s angle, author presents an analysis framework about relationships between industry organization mode and primary processing enterprise organization performance for the empirical analysis. And on this basis, designs the questionnaire for this study. Based on survey data of135CHMPP enterprises in Anhui province, the study makes use of the econometrics’model and statistics seeing about the present condition, put forward relevant policy recommendations. Paper is divided into seven parts; the main conclusions are as follows:Part1:The economic analysis for CHM industrial organization mode and CHMPP enterprise organization performance.Established in the agri-chain management theory, new institutional economics, enterprise performance theory and industrial organization theory, the research explains the relationship between industry organization mode and enterprise organization performance through an improved analysis paradigm of industrial organization and puts forward an analytical framework. Research shows that CHM industrial organization mode, technology and integration capabilities and enterprise quality management system through a certain path influence on the enterprise organization performance. Based on the enterprise theory, transaction cost theory, enterprise capability theory and other related theories, Research shows that environmental factors, enterprise characteristics and transaction costs are the main influencing factors of CHMPP enterprise’s choice of CHM industrial Organization mode.Part2:To examine the industrial Organization mode and enterprise organization performance present condition of CHMPP enterprise in Anhui province.The research by investigate135CHMPP enterprises in Anhui province, clarifies situation of CHM Industrial Organization mode and CHMPP enterprise organization performance. The results show that Anhui CHMPP enterprise choice of CHM industrial organization mode with loose-type accounts for59.3%, semi-close-type40.7%, and close mode is not adopted by most companies. The research shows enterprise organization performance is in a period of rapid growth, but the overall technical level of enterprises is still at a lower stage, and quality management level is in a better state.Part3:Empirical analysis of relations between CHM industrial organization mode and CHMPP enterprise’s organization performance.This part builds a hypothesis model to estimate the relation of CHM industrial organization model and CHMPP enterprise organization performance. Hypothetical model, using survey data, was carried out using SEM model for empirical analysis. It analyzes the factors that influence CHMPP enterprise’s organization performance and estimates how the factors influence the organization performance. The results show that the CHM industrial organization mode, CHMPP enterprise’s technology and integration capabilities and quality management system have a significant positive impact. Meanwhile, the interaction between industrial organization mode and technology and integration capabilities is significant positive. Industrial organization mode has a significant positive impacton quality management system.Part4:Chinese Herbal Medicines industrial organization mode choice analysis of influencing factors.Based on survey data, by use of binary Logistic model, this part makes an empirical analysis for influencing factors of the CHMPP enterprise’s choice on industrial organization mode. Studies have shown that environmental and enterprise characteristics are the main influencing factors. In the environment factors, industrial policy, resources and market characteristics, external suppliers of characteristics and regional factors have a greater impact on their choice of industrial organization mode. In the enterprise characteristics, the size of the enterprise and asset specificity is also significant factors. In the transaction costs, an information cost has a significant influence, but remaining factors are not obvious.The research surrounding above four parts, with the theory of agricultural industrial organization and enterprise organization performance, makes systematic and in-depth study as follows:relationship between CHM industrial organization mode and CHMPP enterprise’s performance, the development of CHM industrial organization mode and the development of CHM industry.It is hoped that it can gives some help to the relevant researchers, enterpriser and govern reference decision makers.
